Driving down Thanksgiving w/e

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what restaurants may be open on this weekend, as we are driving to disney. I'm wondering if I need to pack extra food for our suppers as well. We'll arrive in FLA for the Sunday of theThanksgiving weekend, therefore it will be Friday and Sat nights we'll be needing somewhere to stop. Cheers Kat

Are you driving down on Canadian Thanksgiving or American? You will have no problem finding places to eat. I am always travelling on that weekend for hockey, so the only problem I have ever run into was not getting a nice hotel room. Enjoy your trip!!!!

HI .. we drove down last year thanksgiving (thursday) ... lots of the fast food places were closed and some gas stations (evening) . We ate at our hotel when we checked in. Apart from that day everything is open.

American Thanksgiving. I have already reserved our hotels so we are guranteed nice rooms @ reputable hotels. I just wasn't sure about the restuarants. But we are not leaving until the Friday anyways. What's the border like to cross

The border wasn't too bad...last year, it was no longer than 25 minutes and that was crossing in Detroit. With the rooms booked, you will have no problems then. Have fun!

We crossed on the Friday of T Giving in the US and it was about 5 minutes start to finnish at the border in Detroit this was about 9 PM on the Friday night. We didn't have any problems finding anything open either all gas stations we went by and restaurants were open also. Enjoy your drive we can't wait only 200 Days till we see the Mouse again.

We crossed on the Friday of T Giving in the US and it was about 5 minutes start to finnish at the border in Detroit this was about 9 PM on the Friday night. We didn't have any problems finding anything open either all gas stations we went by and restaurants were open also. Enjoy your drive we can't wait only 200 Days till we see the Mouse again.

We are leaving at noon on the Friday of the Thanksgiving weekend and stopping for two nights instead of one, the first night we are stopping in Dry Ridge KY at the Hampton INN and the second night in Valdosta GA at a Country Inn and suites. Only 195 days!! We are stayin at POFQ and MVMCP on the 4TH!!
We were going to stay one night at POP as we are arriving one day earlier then expected but I called this am and upgraded to POFQ, hopefully it'll be minimal book in for our package and we can keep the same room and then head to the parks TTFN Kat
