Okay, I've looked at the maps but would like some input from anyone who has actually done it!

We will be renting a van when we arrive at the airport and driving to Cocoa Beach and we've never been there!! The map makes it look like we should take highway 528, is that right? How hard is it to find 528 from the airport?

Then from CB we will be going to the Poly, can someone please give me some directions? I've used the maps on Expedia before but they don't always give the most direct route (I've practiced with the maps by putting in addresses that are local for me and they give directions that I would never use!!!). I'm getting a little nervous as our time draws near because I DO NOT know my way around the Orlando area.

That is correct about 528. Once you are onsite you shouldn't have any problems getting around. There are plenty of signs.

If you take the North exit out of Orlando International Airport, you will exit directly onto either Semoran Blvd (436 North I think) or 528 East or West. To get to Cocoa Beach, you will need to take 528 East....this will take you into directly into the north end of Cocoa Beach. It really is easy to find your way around. If you get confused just ask the Toll Plaza attendant for directions. Or better still, get directions from your car rental agency.

Thanks so much for the replies!! I'm feeling a little better! Now when I head back to WDW do I just take the same route only backwards?

We drove from WDW to Cocoa Beach last year when we were down there last. If I remember right, 528 is also called Bee Line Expressway. It is an easy shot from Orlando to Cocoa Beach. While on the road you will see the Disney Cruise Line Busses, if they are transporting guests on those days. On your way back you can take 528 again, but will turn off before you come to the Orlando International Airport. Whenever we are planning to drive somewhere for a trip, we use Microsoft's Streets and Trips, and I find that it is very accurate. If you want, I can plot your course for you and email it to you. Just PM me if you're interested.
