I made our reservation today for transportation to Port Orleans from Sanford. :woohoo:

When tipping, does one give the entire 20% at the first leg (from airport to WDW) or give 10% at each leg (airport to WDW, WDW to airport) or 20% for each leg? :confused3

The reservationist threw me off when I called in. Her words when quoting our price were, "The van is $280.00 plus 20% driver gratuity. Is that okay?"

I know to tip and I had thought prior to calling that 20% was appropiate for good service but I'm second guessing myself now that the reservationist mentioned it. I don't want to commit a faux paus.

Maybe she only mentioned it because some people might not know that a tip is expected?

As an aside, I know our fare is a lot of money and a rental may have been cheaper but DH is in sales and drives all day for work. On vacation he just wants to relax and not worry about traffic, directions, gas, tolls, etc. It's a nice break for him. :goodvibes

Is the $280 round trip? 140 each way to and from airport? Then I would tip about $28.00 each time.

But...since she mentioned the tip was 20%, it may just be added to your bill, so you wouldn't tip at all. You will see a charge for 280.00 + 56.00 on your bill.

Thanks! The $280 is RT, $140 each way to/from Sanford, and a complimentary grocery stop. I was leaning towards $28 for each leg but didn't want to appear tacky.

You might be right, maybe they are adding the gratuity, $56, to the bill. I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to be sure and check the bill before I tip the driver.
