For me the time savings isn't the most important factor. But we save far more than a couple of minutes - we do a lot of resort dining and resort-to-resort routes are very time-consuming using Disney transportation. But with our car, we go straight to the resort where we're dining and valet park (I always valet parked, even before it was free at most resorts for me because I'm a DVC member).
And yep, I'm on vacation. Which means I want to be comfortable and relaxed. Standing on a crowded bus doesn't mean those criteria IMO.![]()
Granted, you are correct, that if a vaction includes a lot of resort to resort trips and resort dining it would be a time saver, but I thought the OP was just inquiring about getting to and from parks and didn't mention they had reasons to do these other options. I have been lucky and only had to stand maybe a handful of times and have always been able to get on the bus that has arrived. I don't know the timeframe OP is planning on going, but we had good luck in November 06 (CBR) and in April 09 (AKL) when we have gone with just utilizing the bus service.
