Drive to downtown Disney from Beach Club ... parking?

If we drove from BC, (for personal reasons, don't want to ride bus), to eat in DT Disney, on aveerage how long does it take and is it easy to park near restaurants there? Maybe Wolfgang Puck's place ... We were there for six days last year at BC, but never went downtown. Thanks, all!

I would budget 30 minutes from starting the car until you are at the hostess stand at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. Parking at the Westside of DTD is waaaaaaay better than down on the marketplace side. It's not a bad ride at all, in fact once you turn onto Buena Vista Dr. it's a straight shot to DTD. Literally 2 turns from parking lot to parking lot. There are traffic lights however so it will take a few minutes. HTH

flamark, thanks for your reply! How far is the walk from parking to Wolfgang's? I can't walk long distances in the heat ...

If you got a good spot, probably 200 ft or so. Average would probably be like normal walk at the mall I would think. Definitely closer than what the bus would bring you. FWIW if you play with Google Maps and put it on satellite view you can see exactly where it is. It's directly across the walkway from Splitsville and right next to House of Blues.

I would schedule way longer than 30 minutes. I've circled the lot for 20, and that doesn't even include how long it can take to GET to the lot.

If we go down to lunch rather than dinner, say at 1 to 2 pm, should the traffic be noticeably lighter then? We arrive next Saturday, stay five nights, so I know it's one of the busiest times of year. Thank you again!

Adding another question here ... when IS the traffic lightest into downtown Disney? There's another restaurant, Portobello, that we might also be interested in. Is that near Wolfgang's? TY!

Marketplace: The first thing in the morning when it opens for business.

West side: About 11AM-12 PM when it starts to awaken for the day.

It's a short trip, but parking at DTD can be terrible.
