Does anyone know how long the drive is from San Diego to DL or Laguna Beach to DL.

Would you consider staying there everyday if you wanted to spend time at the parks. We have a crazy RCI time share and those are the only available places for us to stay right now.

My DD is 2 so we would like to got to the zoo and sea world so just looking for some advice.:wizard:

The drive time from San Diego to DLR daily?

totally depends on the time of day.

we live north in San Diego and it is about 90 miles or so from our residence to DLR. we have made it in an hour and 15 minutes (hardly any traffic problems)
to well over two and 1/2 hours (lots of jams, heavy traffic)

laguna Beach would be a bit closer and if your were going to and from DLR each day, might be a better place to stay.

at a minimum, in San Diego, plan on over an hour and a half drive time each way, maybe more (depending on WHERE in San Diego you are staying)

When my friends and I drive to DL from San Diego (sometimes from Golden Hill, the College Area) we plan about 2 hours including a stop at Starbucks. Once we drove from Oceanside (well technically Camp Pendleton) and we planned about an hour and a half.

So normally if we want to be there by 8/8:30am, we'll leave around 6:15ish. We always stay at least one night and take a nap mid afternoon since we woke up around 5.

This past July, we were on our way up to DL and our tire blew out on the 5 right near Irvine. That definitely put a dent in our plans and we had to basically take the streets up to DL with a donut. We still were able to make it to DL relatively early though.

Either way, we always enjoy the ride. We have a Disney playlist that we listen to on the way there and it makes the ride go much quicker.

I live in San Diego (near SDSU) and drive to Disneyland at least once a month. It's 99 miles from front door to Mickey and Friends parking structure. I usually travel on Sat or Sun morning. I leave early, around 6:30 or 7 am and it takes 1 hour 30 minutes without a break.

It takes longer if you drive during the week due to traffic. DH and I went to DL this past Monday. It took us 2 hours to reach DL and that was using the car pool lane.

We went twice during our summer trip and it took us about an hour and a half each way. Totally doable.
