Drive or monorail between GF and Epcot - with a stroller?

We haven't been to WDW for years, so I don't really remember all the in's and out's - thought I'd ask the experts!

We'll be staying at the GF in Feb, and will be renting a car for the length of the trip. Would it be quicker/easier to drive to Epcot (we'll have AAA Diamond parking), or take the monorail? We will also have a standard sized stroller with us, and I'm not sure how strollers work on the monorail.

Thanks for any advice!

If you take the monorail from the GF to Epcot, you will have to take the resort monorail to the TTC, then get off, go down and around and back up again to the Epcot monorail line. It's all ramped so it's not bad but it can be time consuming...I always seem to arrive just as the doors are shutting so have to wait for the next one to arrive!
If you are planning on driving to the other parks I would pretty much just drive to Epcot as well. You can take the stroller on the monorail, opened up but it seems to be a pain to do.

We have a tandem double stroller we bring with us, and we have never had a problem getting it on or off the monorail. We keep it opened when the car is not full, and when we needed to, we folded it. No biggie.

Take the monorail. If you drive you will likely still need to take a tram so you will need to unload and fold the stroller for that. If you take the monrail there is almost never a need to fold a single stroller.

That's good to know...I didn't realize that you could take your stroller on the monorail without folding it! I'm used to the DL monorail, and we always had to fold our stroller there.

Is this the case even with the AAA parking? I thought that it was close enough to walk to the main gate?

Your right, with the AAA parking you won't need the tram(missed that in the original post sorry).
When is your trip? Will you be going to the room in the afternoon for naps?
Depending on the time of your trip, a hot car at naptime may be a consideration.

We'll be there in February, during President's week, so I'm thinking that the WDW transportation might be quite busy. Yes, we will be leaving for an afternoon break, so maybe we'll see how the weather is each day before making a final decision. Thanks for the input!
