Drive or Bus back to SSR after MNNSHP?

I think it's going to be the lesser of two evils, but do you think we should take our rental car to MNNSHP or the bus from SSR? If we drive, maybe it's better to park at one of the resorts and take the monorail to MK? Any advice? I'm worried it's going to be crazy crowded.

Don't try to park at one of the monorail resorts. Due to complaints of registered guests not finding parking, Disney is strongly discouraging parking by non-registered guests by either denying you entrance or giving you a 3 hour parking pass. There have been reports of towing for those who stay beyond their welcome.

My advice is to take the bus. I'm assuming you plan to stay until the end. There is always a terrible crush of people trying to get on the ferry or the monorail. The bus lines may also be long, but you will have a shorter and more comfortable wait there than either the ferry or the monorail.

FWIW, the best thing to do is adjust your attitude/need to get out quickly. Don't rush to leave right away - walk slowly to the entrance, grab a snack if you can, meander through the shops and watch the castle lights for a while. If you do that, the bus lines will be relatively shorter when you get there and you will get a seat. You won't get back to your resort much later than if you stood in a long line and rode on a packed bus.

If you can't stand the crowds (and still want to go to MNSSHP), plan to leave early before the bulk of the crowds.

Best wishes -

Take the bus for sure. At that time of night, you might be too tired to want to drive.

The Saratoga Springs bus probably won't be croweded at all. In fact, I can't remember a time when I had more than 15 people on my bus for SSR. :)

Thank you so much for this reminder. You are so right. I think sometimes we get caught up in the details and lose sight of the big picture.

Plus, I don't know who I'm kidding. We'll NEVER make it to midnight.

Thanks again!
