The small town I grew up in here in GA, had one - The Judean - everyone there pronounced it "Jew-Deeeen". Had some great laughs there as a teen with my friends, since by that time, the jewdeen had started screening "adult" type movies like "Gas Pump Girls" and "Cherry Hill High". They had no problem letting in a car full of giggling teens - hey we were paying customers! We'd laugh ourselves silly at the "action", making stupid jokes the whole time. I never went there on a date. I would have been mortified. Sadly, the Judean was eventually razed and paved over into something else.
There was also one in So. IL, - The Egyptian - that I'd visit with my cousins growing up, whenever I'd visit my grandmother in the summer. It had a GREAT concession stand with a huge menu. The last time I went was when my sons were 10 and 6 and I wanted them to have at least one drive-in experience before they went the way of the dinosaurs. (Drive-ins - not my boys) Anyway, that last time, they had done away with the big, silver, clunky speakers that you used to hang on your window, in favor of a radio transmitter that you tuned into on your car radio. Just wasn't the same, for some reason.
