Drive from Disney to Legoland

How long, with traffic, did it take you to make the drive? What time did you leave?

Was it a weekend or midweek?

We just did it last week, on a Thursday. I think it took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the GCH front door (had to retrieve luggage) to LEGOLAND Hotel. We left promptly at 3:30.

Make sure you use the CARPOOL lane if you have 2 or more people.

Look at the directions on-line, the exit number is different for LEGOLAND Park vs Hotel.

I would plan on at least a two hour drive regardless if it's a weekend or not. You can reduce the amount of time if you use the carpool lane but just to play it safe and to allocate for traffic or possible accidents. If you happen to visit during a holiday weekend you need to add more time.

we usually leave disneyland (harbor blvd) around 8:30am and get there around 9:40am, just enough time to get to the gates for opening at 10. We have always gone on a monday or thursday and get there around that time. we have gone the past 3 years.

We went on a Saturday in August, leaving Disney around noon and didn't get there until 3! We did stop for lunch for 30 minutes so a 2.5 hour trip. The traffic was insane! I forget the road (whatever the big freeway is).
Our ride back to LAX on Monday, leaving at 5 pm, only took 1 hr, 20 minutes. ( I thought it would be worse)
I was a little stressed because we had never driven in LA before (we are from Long Island and have our own issues with traffic but nothing compares to LA traffic).
