We're staying at POFQ and will be on DxDP in September! We will have perhaps two or three QS breakfasts at the resort. Are the drinks on the dining plan the pre-bottled, eg bottle of coke, orange juice, etc or do they need come from a fountain. I'm thinking that if they are pre-bottled we could select bottled water then use the refillable mug for a drink to go with that meal, taking the water with us to the parks?

You can do that.

There are a lot of choices for drinks-PowerAid, Vitamin Water, 2 or more different kinds of bottled water, OJ, Apple Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Milk, Fountain Drinks (soda, tea, coffee, hot chocolate). I'm sure there are even more choices-some kind of energy drinks, etc.

You can get the prebottled but we found at PO-FQ they did not have a huge number of bottled options like they had in the past. If you are good with water or powerade to take with you you'll be fine but they didn't have the many teas, sodas, and juices they used to have though we saw more variety at other resorts.

At breakfast at POFQ we were told that we could get TWO bottled drinks each for QS (I guess because there was no dessert?). So we did what you are suggesting--filled our mugs for the meal and then took all those bottled drinks to the park with us. Worked out nicely.

From all the posts I have read that is no longer the case this year. Disney dropped the dessert/extra drink with the CS breakfasts.

Pop has a large selection and we were even able to get dessert for breakfast instead of the extra drink last year.

Used to do it that way, but as mentioned by Squirrel, the practice of allowing an extra beverage instead of "dessert" was discontinued with 2011 dining plans...they now actually specify that counter service breakfast is just one drink and entree (or one drink and combo). So if you're using a refillable mug for your breakfast beverage, you can choose one bottled beverage as your counter service component at breakfast.

Do any QSDP restaurants offer anything other than fountain sodas or the regular bottled drinks? I'd like to find something different to drink than the "regular" stuff. Any suggestions?
