Drinks included in Buffet/Family Style Meals?

I may have just gotten used to doing buffet and family style meals on the DDP, but when paying OOP, do these meals include drinks?

I just read an online menu that said "Drinks extra" for the Cape May Clambake dinner, but I didn't see that posted for the Cape May breakfast. What about other places like Garden Grill? 'Ohana? Chef Mickey? Trail's End? etc... Are drinks included?

Or does it depend on the meal... like I know our local Golden Corrals only include drinks with breakfast. Even though lunch and dinner are more expensive, drinks are still extra for those meals. I don't understand why - who came up with that system?

I remember the old days when drinks were always included with buffets. I think those days are long gone - even at Disney! I almost always drink water with meals, so I don't know about the buffets at Disney, but I would highly doubt that the buffets include drinks other than water.

I'm pretty sure that 1 non-alcoholic beverage per person is included with a buffet meal at WDW. I don't remember being charged for Cokes, iced tea, or milk.

I know we dont have to pay for our coffee or cold drinks at Crystal Palace, Princess buffet at Norway, Hollywood and Vine either......Not sure about Biergarten, I thought we paid for our soft drinks there...
I would look at our dining link and see which ones you are interested in?

We both got juice and coffee at Crystal Palace, Cape May & 1900 all for breakfast. We were on the dining plan but I don't think it mattered. I think it is all included in the buffets.

When it says "drinks extra", I believe it is referring to alcoholic drinks. I've never been to a buffet/AYCE restaurant at Disney or anywhere else where a fountain drink, ice tea, etc., wasn't included in the meal.
