hi all
i have heard of others doing "drinks around the world". i never looked at the posts because i didn't think i would ever try it.
but i'm thinking of trying to do kidcot stations from 6-8pm with the kids one night and figure since i'll be going around, why not have a drink and/or a snack!
what are some your your favorites?
thanks

maps,

Check out www.disneyregulars.com. They have done the "Drink Around the World" thing a couple times.

Are you a beer, wine, foo-foo, or mixed cocktail drinker? I suppose there's something for everyone at EPCOT.

Enjoy!

LOL...
this is my kinda activity!
I need to hear more about this one!!!
Anyone, Anyone???

doug123 thanks for your reply but i can't seem to be able to open your link.
as for your question---any of the above depending on my mood!

are you allowed to walk around the park with your beer or drink??? Or do you have to stay in the bar or restaurant?

Last year we coined a phrase for drinking around the world:
Inebriantions:earsboy:

well i just realized there are about a dozen countries so i don't think i'll be having a drink at each! after the third country my husband would be putting me in the stroller! let's try favorite drinks and/or snacks around the world.

My wife and I just got such a kick out of reading their summaries of the drinking game. Of course my wife pointed out that I would make it to about 3 countries before I passed out!

Well, as for drinks, on my DH's behalf I have to nominate the Ringnes beer from Norway. Also, the margaritas in Mexico are fab. As far as eating, we like the combo plate from the Mexico counter service restaurant. It's the right size to share, you don't get too full on it. In Norway, try either the chocolate cake which is to die for or the vaffel- a thin waffle topped with strawberries. In America, a turkey leg of course! The tiramisu in Italy is great, and any pastry from France would be good too. Canada has to be a beavertail, UK, fish and chips. The kaki gori is good in Japan, or you could have sushi if you are so inclined. In China, we have opted for the eggrolls. From Morocco DH gets some kind of lamb sandwich. In Germany, he gets either a big pretzel or a bratwurst. I think that about sums it up!!

thanks for all the great suggestions. i'm definitely skipping dinner that night!

abbeysdaddy--what drinking game are you refering to?

MagicPrincess, yes, you can walk around the park with your beer or drink. DH and I had been to Epcot around 1990 and this was NOT the case (we were stopped by a CM when we tried to leave the Mexico area with a beer we had bought there!). When we returned to Epcot late last year, we found this had changed. BTW, the Food and Wine Festival held every autumn is a blast!

If you want to pay $7.25 for a beer.

Interesting that Ringnes was $7.25 from a beer cart and Molson was only $4.25 at Le Celler:cool:

KAHIKO,

I just want you to know that someone (probably a drunk) gave me some great advice once.-There is no such thing as a bad beer or a beer that is too expensive. Some are just better deals than others.

Glenn
