So DH and and I are gonna try the infamous drink around the world :drinking1 :rolleyes1 on our upcoming trip...everything is set, we will be using Disney transportation so we don't have to worry about designated drivers. I know there are margaritas in Mexico but as for the rest of the world I am not sure what is good. I am not really a beer person, anyone know any good non beer drinks to try in the world showcase besides margaritas?? Also, anyone ever done this before??? if so got any tips? And any pics would be appreciated :) Thanks:)

Have a great time. The margaritas in Mexico are great. Try a Bellini next to Alfredo's in Italy and don't forget to hit the Grey Goose Froz Drink cart in
France.

In China, there is a new tea cart along the walkway which has a fantastic peach schnapps frozen drink. Delicious! If you like wine, you can do wine tastings in Germany, Italy, and France. Sake tasting in Japan. I have also tried the plum wine in China. There are more tasty frozen drinks in France at a cart in addition to the wine tastings inside.

We did it once on purpose and we always end up doing a partial drink a thon when we go. I'm trying to think of what else we have tried other than beer...

It's a pricey mission, let me warn you. Only country that doesn't have drinks readily available is Canada because they only have 1 restaurant and it's LeCellier (table service). We have gotten something from every other place.

my fiance and I love to drink around the world!!!! we look forward to it every trip... since you dont care for beer much when you go to japan or china (oops i 4got which one has it or if both do:confused3 )they have a plum wine cooler that is great!!!!

The Canada scenerio actually works well for us, 'cause we have an ADR @ Le Celier that night....I bet it is a pricey mission...I was a little reluctant, but DH is all for it so I guess we'll splurge, afterall that is what vacations are for :rotfl:

Plum wine cooler sounds right up my ally, another one to add to my must try list!

Thank you for all the suggestions!!:goodvibes

I would advise against it. Every time DH and I have done the drinking around the world I have ended up pregnant. :bride:

LMAO...that is too funny, DH and I don't have any children yet, but we are starting to think about having them....so I guess whatever happens happens:rotfl2:

I think that's not true anymore. Last time I was there (September, '06), I remember seeing a beverage stand outside of Canada with beer offerings such as Moosehead and Molson products.

Since it was just a beverage stand, it may be something that is there sometimes and not others... so it's entirely possible that, during some parts of the year, the only place to get drinks in Canada is Le Cellier.

Make sure to stop at the Rose N Crown Pub. Full bar and fun bartenders.

Just make sure you don't get stuck there! The Rose & Crown is like a black hole...you go in for "just one" and...6 drinks later, you're trying to get your fellow bar patrons to do a group skinny dip in the World Showcase Lagoon!!

OOOOh good to know, we will have to try it there....you don't need an ADR to go in there do you?

I was there last week and didn't see anything but that doesn't mean I didn't just miss it on my race to the France for some wine =)

During F&W they do have offerings.

We always start in Mexico and get the rainbow Margarita at the drink only stand towards Norway....beer or rice wine in China...then its a beer or Jaegermeister in Germany (not big German wine fans)...Italy has great wine...U.S always disappoints so we get a soda...more beer or wine in Japan...Wine in France...Cider (alcoholic) at the Rose 'n Crown or the stand outside...then back to the hotel to pass out!

i enjoy Rosa Regale Wine in Italy

Adding it to my list :goodvibes

I forgot all about Jaegermeister! My hubby will be pleased, he loves Jaeger bombs (I personally think they are wicked gross :rotfl: )
