I know Im only one person and dont mean a hell of a lot in the grand scheme of Disneys' mind but....when it comes to rising prices everywhere on property I feel and prob countless others on the boards feel too that we are a part of the problem because I honestly would pay 200$ for a 1 day ticket if thats what it came down to. Our love for the product trumps the money we throw down to immerse ourselves in this environment and unfortunately the casual guests get pinched.

And thats why prices will Always go up and up... Nut jobs like us handing over our wallets( but not first born)

I feel like Kool-Aid gets a bad rap when people say "Drink the Kool-Aid". I wish it was a less delicious drink, like "Drink the Tang" or "Drink the Ovaltine", because then I'd be like oh yeah, that's bad, let's not do that.

When people say "Drink the Kool-Aid" I just start craving Kool-aid, which defeats the purpose.

"Drink the Kool-Aid" refers to a horrible use of the sweet beverage that happened in 1978 in South America. So You can't replace the drink with Tang or Ovaltine because the meaning would be lost.

I went to Girl Scout camp where they gave us Kool-Aid morning, noon and night. After that I couldn't stand the stuff. Now soda is a different matter.
:offtopic: Oh Guilty so guilty

I don't think it will go on forever. It won't for my family. We are not priced out, but I would consider cancelling our June trip if we didn't already have APs and tickets bought and if my family wasn't so looking forward to it. We were going to take a break anyhow, but that break may be longer or we will consider other options which reduce our spending (like staying offsite...only going one day, etc.). Every vacation to Disney has been great, but we are at the point where we can have some equally great vacations for the same money (because Disney has gotten so expensive and some things aren't as great as they are before and because my kids are at an age where visiting Monticello or the USS Yorktown seem almost as cool to them as Disney)

I have friends in SoCal who are very turned off by the ticket prices and AP prices at Disneyland...and many of them just refuse to go and/or have bought tickets for competitors (Knotts). The could go if they scrimped and saved, but it is just not worth it to them.

Hopefully, for your sake, OP, there will be more of people like me and my friends and you can get your prices lowered, or at least get some quality back or face fewer people in the crowd

I learned this background story not long ago and now I really hate this saying :(
