Hey guys!

So my friends and I (all mid twenties) are going to the world for the first time as adults in a few short weeks- so excited! Since I've never been there when I have been drinking age I have a few quick questions, primarily about drinking at food & wine- is there one centralized place you show your ID first for stamp/wristband or something or do you have to show it every time you order? Also, I saw somewhere it says you need a license or a passport- my friend has a state issued ID and we were wondering if that's fine to use or if she would have to bring her passport. TIA for your help! ;)

I'm also going soon! From what I remember from the last time I was there, you'll need to show your ID each time you make an alcoholic beverage purchase.

Also, a state issued ID should be fine! Have fun!!

Thanks for the response! Can't wait- this is going to be my first time at the world (cali native, only been to disneyland before) and i can't wait to see what a difference experience it will be :goodvibes

No alcohol is sold in the Magic Kingdom. Everywhere else it is no issue. If you want to drink while at the Magic Kingdom you either have to be good at sneaking it in or you have to take the monorail to the Grand Floridian, The Contemporary or the Polynesian.

Have a great time!

Oops, I just read that you can now get beer and wine only at dinner time at the New Be Our Guest resturaunt in MK.

I like to start in Mexico and work my way around until I end up in Canada. By that time, I'm usually speaking with a Canadian accent anyways. :) Have fun!!

Highly recommend GF! :)

Yep with all the added drink options from F & W I have no clue how people manage to spend a whole day drinking there... I would be asleep in a pavilion somewhere! everything in moderation haha

Not related to your questions but just a general tip. Not having a plan can often lead to people in your group getting very intoxicated quickly or spending way more money than they expected to. If you can get your hands on one ahead of time (I'm sure it's available online somewhere just not sure where) I would look at the menus for each and every kiosk, and keep in mind there are also the ones that are permanent and may not be on the special F and W list, and pick out the ones that are must try, want to try, and skip. This will help with the budget! Of course, sometimes that goes out the window and it's not always a bad thing. We went last week and stopped at 11 of the 30 kiosks, more than we'd planned on doing, and had a blast. An expensive blast, but a blast nonetheless!

I also can not agree more with a PP who said to start in Mexico, especially if you're planning on Margaritas. One lesson I learned from my two 'drinking around the world trips' is always start with the margarita, don't end with the margarita.

Have a great time!!!

It is up to every stand to ID you , i had a few stand that did not ask for an ID, alot did, so be ready.

And all i showed them was my IL Driver License each time they asked, but i will say this if you are planning on drinking alot ad food and wine be prepared to spend a lot as well if you are going to Mexico first check out the Tequila Bar as well in the pavillion.

Such a very true point... especially when mixing alcohol and the hot Florida sun! So many great drink options though. And many of the beers do come in smaller sampler glasses, so definitely you can pace yourself a bit more if you choose.

Allears.net has a list of all the food and drinks at the carts. definitely pre-plan your alcohol at FW or you will be very intoxicated before getting halfway around. Lots of great things to chose from, too many for one day! Without pacing, it's quite easy to become ill in a bad way......

Buahahaha, same is true for Flower and Garden, we Made it all the way to France (from mexico), before it really started hitting us. Had plenty of fun along the way, and still hit England and then a rum Dolewhip on the way out :)

I got carded about 50% of the time.
But then I am in my early 30's. I believe last time (4 years ago) the ratio was even higher.

Also I agree with a previous poster.
Have game plan.
Trust me, Disney while TOO intoxicated is not fun.
Also do NOT watch O' Canada after you have a buzz.

Lastly HYDRATE! Florida can be brutal especially when you ad booze.

Bring family and/or friends and share the drinks.
