My husband and I will be attempting to drink around the world at Epcot. We will be sharing drinks, and may have to skip a few countries, but can you please give me suggested drinks from each country? Thanks!

If there is a list already made up, could you point me in that direction too?

We always "drink around the world" at Epcot! Here's how we usually do it:

Start at Canada with a "Torontopolitan"
United Kingdom - Beer
France - Grey Goose Slushie or Champagne
Morocco - Red Sangria
Japan - Saki
skip America
Italy - Prosecco
Germany - Beer
skip China
skip Norway
End in Mexico with a few shots of Tequila or Margarita, we usually make a dinner reservation in Mexico to end the night. It's a lot of fun!

welcome! It's one of my favorite things to do to end a long day at the parks! :thumbsup2

I love the prosecco in Italy and champagne in France. The grey goose slushies are nice if you're doing this while the sun's out.. it helps cool you down!

I also just noticed that it looks like we're heading to WDW on the SAME DAY!! Our countdown trackers have the same timeframe! I'll be there 9/24-9/30 at AKL

Canada - Torontopolitan
United Kingdom - English Rose or Welsh Dragon
France - Grey Goose or Grand Mariner Slushies
Germany - wine
Morroco - Sultan’s Colada
Japan - Saki or plum wine
Italy - Rosa Regal
China - Green Tea Plum Slush
Mexico - Margarita

NOT a beer drinker so I usually skip America. Cheers :drinking1

That is so cool!! :thumbsup2 We check in 9/24 and check out 10/1. What day will you be in Epcot? We are going on 9/24 & 9/28!

right now I'm thinking we'll be there for the first half of the day on 9/26 and night time on 9/27 and 9/28. right now, park hours for epcot are until midnight on 9/28 :) :)

What is a "Torontopolitan" and where can you get it at? Looking for new drink to try this year. I've added the Grand Marnier slush (meant to last year but didn't get to it) and the pineapple margarita at the La Cava. Not a big drinker, so I won't go all the way around the world.

Great thread!:thumbsup2 This is my DH's dream to do some day:cloud9:, if we ever go without kids. We actually were there without kids once, but we were also with my whole family including nieces and nephews, so drinking around the world wouldn't have been appropriate.

Just reading is making me thirsty.:drinking1

These are my favorites:
Italy--Bellini (peach nectar and prosecco)
France--Kir Royale, and all the slushies when it's hot out.
Mexico--Margaritas at San Angel Inn, they have unique ones there now, I think I've had a cucumber one or cactus pear before...
Morocco--slushie of some type

A Torontopolitan is basically a Cosmopolitan, but usually not as good as a true cosmo. I find it a hit or miss drink. Sometimes they're good, other times not so much. They're sold at a cart in the Canada Pavillion.

I cannot believe I have missed this drink at the world! It's on my list for November among many others :rotfl:

Don't forget "The Outpost" between China & Germany. Of all of World Showcase, I'm partial to the Safari Amber Ale there (also sold at AK). :thumbsup2

Thanks! I see you are from Mt. P. I live in Walterboro, and work in West Ashley! Greetings from SC!!:thumbsup2

Have fun trying it, but I warn you, it's not the best drink you can get at Epcot! If you're familiar with Cosmos, this is their "take" on one, but not as good. They're a little sweet. If you're looking for a good Cosmo in Disney I suggest having one at Citricos, California Grill or Narcoossee's.. I've always had AMAZING Cosmos there! :cool1:

I like Torontopolitans, but I agree. The Pomegranate COZ at California Grill is probably my favorite "spin" on a cosmopolitan in the World.

To the OP, in addition to the Torontopolitan, some of my favorite drinks around the world are as follows:

In Italy, the Italian Margherita. It's a frozen drink made with grappa, limoncello and lime juice.

In Mexico, many of the margaritas and tequilas found at La Cava del Tequila are wonderful. In particular I like the blood orange, classic and pomegranate margaritas. As for the tequilas, I recommend the Herradura or Cazadores. Regardless of whether you prefer white or aged, these brands make good tequila.

In the United Kingdom, the single malt flight at the Rose and Crown Pub is perfect to share.

My favorite drink in the France pavilion is only available during the Food & Wine Festival. It's the Parisien Cosmo Slush. The sparkling pomegranate Kir is also good. Year round, you can buy a Kir Royale, which is champagne and creme de cassis. I like those too.
