Whats your favorite drinks in each country when Drinking Around The World? (please keep in mind that we're not looking to mix liquors!)
Also what about a quick small food item from each country for friends DD15?

I'd say my favorite has to be the hard cider in England. I believe they have 2 types - one is sweeter, one a little dryer. :drinking1

I'm not a big drinker but I always have to have a Margarritta from Mexico. DH favorite hands down would be a tall glass of beer from Germany (while I snack on a pretzel). He once stopped at each country and tried a beer the only one he actually thru away was one from England!

Are you talking world showcase? Because I could spend half a day drinking wine in France!

But around the whole (Disney) world, I love the silly drinks at the Polynesian bar, particulary the Lapu Lapu!!!

Yes I did just mean the countries - and yes we're planning on a LapuLapu the night we have dinner at O'Hana's (which is friends 1st night w/me)

We don't do all the countries, we're beer drinkers and some countries don't have anything worth the liver damage. We start at England, the Rose&Crown with a Stella Artios, which actually is Belgian. Tennent's used to be our favorite but they don't carry it anymore. On to Canada where either a Labatt's or Moosehead will do. At Mexico it's a Dos Eqius, we skip Norway because they dropped Ringnes and replaced it with Carlsburg. We'll have a house brew at Germany but we missed it this year so I don't know what they're offering now. Definitely avoid Casablanca at Morocco, I've tasted better Bud Light that sat in the sun too long, Peroni in Italy is OK but a waiter there told us that's it's brewed elsewhere (Germany?). I've had the Chinese and Japanese offerings, Sapporo in Japan I think. Sam Adams? We can get that anywhere any time so we skip it here. BTW, our trip report for March 1 - 12 2006 is up on the Trip Reports board.

There is nothing better than a Boddington's in England to accompany my Fish & Chips. Take both and go over to the rose garden and watch the Beatles perform.

Don't miss the Rosa Regale in France. It's my favorite sparkling red wine   :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: Tina

I agree with you on that one! Yummy!

A mango margarita in Mexico, a black and tan at the Rose and Crown, or a Kirin Lager in Japan. The margarita has to be my favorite, though. I can get good beer at any number of pubs at home, but a mango margarita requires some detective work and advanced planning. Besides, nothing says "vacation" like a fruity alcoholic drink that sneaks up on you in that hot sun!

My vote goes for the Pinot Blance-St. Sparr in France and an apple tart from the bakery. Yummy!!!
