I see that I can buy a $6.99 refillable mug in the parks. Two questions:

1) Is the mug park specific - do I need a different mug in each park?

2) Can the mug be used for more than one day?

all universal mugs are valid for life.
(exception is the beverage day only mug)
once you have the mug, use it for refills for each trip you take there.

Also, since it is not recommended to bring a bag to the parks, what do you do with your mugs on the rides?

In the rides that require loose articles being put in a locker, you are given a free grace period which is just slightly longer than the queue length.
