Hi!

I apologize if this has already been covered, I did a search and couldn't find it...

Are the refrigerators on board stocked with drinks or anything? We've only cruised on RCCL, and they were always stocked, and you just paid for what you drank.

If they are not stocked, can you order some sort of soda/beer/water package? We are coming from DW using their transportation, and we don't want to have to carry our beverages onboard, if we can avoid it.

Thanks for any and all advice!

The refrigerators are only a cooler type refridge. It does not get as cold as a regular fridge. They are not stocked. You can get drinks for free on deck 9 at the self serve beverage station. You can order beverages from room service. They do have a water package now you can purchase. You can also purchase a wine package, but that is only given at your dinner.

You can bring drinks on board with you. You can bring a cooler as well. Just do not fill it with ice. Your stateroom server will bring ice at anytime for you and has been known to keep a cooler full of ice.

Your cooler does not have anything stock when you board, but you can purchase a Value Water Package when you arrive. It runs about $30. and it gets delivered to your stateroom by room service. We didn't order it since we brought our own onboard and don't care for Evian as much. There is also a beer package available which you can get onboard as well as at Castaway Cay. I think it's about $26. and you get a six pack of several brands to choose from. Hope this helps.

Since there are 3 of you, it would cost about the same to do a private limo as to use the DCL transfer from WDW to port. The advantage is that the limo will make a 15 minute grocery or Walmart stop, which would allow you to purchase whatever beverages you want. You can book the limo one way or both ways.

Another alternative would be a rental car (you used to be able to get one at the Swan/Dolphin...not sure if you still can). That way, you can do whatever shopping you need to and turn it in at the port. The car rental places by the port have a free shuttle back to port, and it isn't charges as a different drop off as they are technically in the same area. (don't ask me...that's what they told me, and I did't pay for a separate drop off.) Rental car is under $40 for a day. DCL transfers are about $30 per person.

We just walked to the beverage station when we wanted a drink. Only thing we every kept in the cooler was a carton or two of yogurt from the breakfast buffet.

I think it was somewhere on deck 3 or 4 there was a table set up where we could purchase beverages that were delivered to our cabin. We got a 6 pack of beer, a bottle of wine, and 10 or 12 bottles of evian. I have no idea how much it cost and our little cooling box worked fine to keep it cold.
