We Woke Up For Nothing

It was a lovely 5:50am wake up call. And honestly it seemed like no one was going to wake up. But if we are being honest are plan was to just roll out of bed and go, and that's exactly what we did, except Garrett who decided to sleep.
We got to the bus at exactly 6:08 and there seemed to be a fairly big group already waiting for a bus. We waited and waited and waited. And we also watched as a bus for every other park came. At this point a lady in front of us was NOT having it. She was on the phone with someone saying how a bus wasn't coming and there was a lot of people waiting.
Next thing we know it was 6:30, then 6:45 and by this point I could have just walked down the road to AK. The lady kept calling the front desk to AKL and clearly that wasn't doing anything.
7:05 rolled around and so did a bus. The park was officially open and any plan of getting on flight of passage was out the window. So before we got to AK we had to practically hunger games our way onto the bus.
It was a short 2 minute ride to the park, and the nicest thing about this short visit was we didn't bring anything with us. So we bypassed the long lines for bag check and headed off to pandora. We might not be willing to wait in line for an hour for passage but the line for the river journey was super short.

In the none existing queue all I could hear was the family behind us and the mother keep saying "use your words" too her kid. The amount of times I use this saying on a daily basis though.

The river journey…well its ok. Nothing that exciting. However Pandora as a whole…beautiful

Once our river journey came to an end we headed over to Everest where we just kept walking on because there was no line what so ever and we weren't complaining. The only thing to complain about was the temperature drop and how chilly it was this morning.

We didn't plan on staying that long at AK since our original plan was to get here at 7, get on flight of passage and leave and go back to sleep. So by 8:30 we headed back to AKL. When we got to the bus stop we all got a laugh at the sign they had there. If only this was accurate this morning…

Once arriving back to AKL, KC called Garrett to tell him we were headed to the Mara to grab breakfast and off we went. All I wanted was a mickey waffle and somehow when I ordered I ended up going with the croissant breakfast sandwich. Why do I do the things I do? who knows

We decided to take our food to our room and enjoy maybe some animals out our window? luckily for us the chilly weather brought out the animals.

After we finished breakfast, it was time to bundle up for the long day/night ahead of us. And with that we were off to Disney Springs!

Chilly Pizza Date

Like every great disney vacation we watched the Disney Springs at the bus stop but saw it pull away before we could get to it. Casual. So we had to wait what seemed like forever for another one. And compared to the past couple days, today was chilly…like really chilly.
A bus finally came to take us away and once we arrived at the springs a CM at the bus stop was handing out maps saying “FREE MAP SATURDAY!”

First stop was world of Disney, I think by this point of mine and Erin’s friendship and our many trips to Disney springs together we differ. She comes to spend all her money and I come to see what’s new and question how the zones work now. I will forever be stuck in the DTD CM mindset because now they must have to double on guest show CMs here and I don’t know where they all fit in the breakout room for the daily meeting before their shift because there were never enough chairs for everyone before the expansion started. The things I ponder, while Erin tries not to buy everything at every store.

And we accomplished what we set out to do. However in the mean time we all had split up and lost each other in WOD. So it was a constant “What’s your location” texts and phone calls. We didn’t have much time to browse since we had plans to meet Brittany and Joe for lunch.
But we did have time for Basin…because I always have time for that hand scrub

We then made a quick pit stop in the Co Op where I fell in love with the new peter pan dooney

We soon made our way out of the market place and headed over to the landing cause when you have a bogo code for pizza, you just have to go to Blaze.

Of course on the chillest day of our trip the only seats available were the ones outside. And the weather was a big topic started. “Buff cold is different from orlando cold” -Joe (a Floridian who was a New Yorker for not even 2 years) Now if you are knew to my reports Brittany and I met in college, then did the DCP back in Fall 2014 together, while working at Space she met a part time worker at Space (aka Joe) and fell in love. He moved up north to try life up here, but as of last summer they decided to give orlando a try. So now Joe misses the pizza in NY but mostly the pepperoni on the pizza.
We couldn’t spend all that much of time at blaze because 1) the breeze was freezing me to death 2) we had fp to get to at AK. This is when I yelled but not really yelled at brittany for not copying my fps on the app when she said “I saw that you made them so long ago and I thought about copying them” Lesson learned I will now just get her Fps for every one of my trips.
As we tried to make a game plan for the rest of the night since she did plan on meeting back up with us later, Erin ran off to the lego store to pick up star wars legos for her cousins.
We were not even 5 minutes behind her when we entered the lego store and she was no where to be found. First thought…Did she get lost trying to get here. I gave her directions but still. Nope she wasn’t lost she already went, picked up what she needed and was headed back to the bus stop. So basically we were just getting our daily steps in. Brittany and Joe went off to the garage and we caught a bus back to our resort.
The ride back to AKL seemed like it took forever, this gave just enough time for therapists Erin and Sam to take a FaceTime call. Then it was off one bus back on another to get back down the street to AK.
Unlike this morning, we had bags and the CM cut off him line right after me and poor erin had to find another line to wait in. But she finally made it back to us and we headed off to the harambe village for some tumble monkeys!
Is it never not good? No, the correct answer is not

The Start Of Our Last Magical Night

After FotLK we had plans to take a trek up everest.

It might have been a breezy day but that didn’t stop Erin from getting a Mickey Bar. Also snapchat thanks for your magical filters

Then it was time for us to come face to face with the disco yeti

After Everest we headed back to pandora. One our way over we saw a sad poor photo pass CM standing alone watching as guests past by. Not to fear Erin and I will always help out and add more photos to our collection. You could tell he was sort of bored because after our pictures all he wanted to do was talk. The main topic was my jacket and how he had one like it but he never saw mine and although I didn’t want to be rude I also didn’t have time to just chat with a stranger.

Before we took a flight on an ikran we decided to grab some dinner at the canteen. Erin's obsessed with the rice bowl so we have to make sure to eat here at least once while visiting AK. I personally like to switch it up from the bowls to the pods. So tonight it was the pods.

And overall the canteen has great food for being a quick service restaurant.
We had fps for flight of passage and our only problem was that we had to check in for our flights on southwest. We decided to just go for it and see if we would get off in time, plus I called home and my mother said she would try to check us in. Shoutout to my parents for always saving the day.

As we waited to get in our viewing room "Sam smile..." awkward. At least she tried.

Once getting into our room, "I feel like we are in the hunger games" - random guest. I couldn't agree more. And of course everyone in the room was contaminated as we got puffed by air.
This was Garrett's first ride on an ikran and he was thoroughly impressed. As he should be.

Then it was goodbye AK, with a proper full on sprint to the bus stop to make the bus.
Once getting back to the room I put on another sweatshirt so I didn't freeze too much tonight.
Also random thing, cause there was a random desk on our floor, meet your future front desk CM.

We hung out in the room until our uber...aka brittany told us she was there to take us to the Magic Kingdom. She always hates having to go to the park by herself to meet up with us especially MK since then she is forced to ride the tram and monorail by her self.
And let me tell you that monorail ride was one crazy ride. Good thing they added the doors to them because I could have fallen out with how crazy of a stop they made. We made it to the TTC in one piece and of course I chose the wrong bag check line. Here’s to another CM who was very much into his small talk with guests and taking his sweet time. While there I was having the rest of my party on the other side waiting impatiently for me to get through. I finally got through and it was the what should we take ferry or monorail. Erin was not about the ferry so it was off to the monorail.
Where we were once again playing hunger games and all cramming onto the monorail. Around the time of the trip, the video of a monorail door opening during its trip from epcot to MK was going around. So I had to make sure my friends were safe, AKA Brittany don’t be leaning against that door because you never know if it will randomly open.
We arrived to the Kingdom in one piece and we were ready to make our last night in Disney magical!

Running Around The Kingdom

First thing upon arrival was head straight to city hall to see if there were any good fps available for later that night. There wasn't the best selection but we were all able to get buzz lightyear.
Next it was time to go find a spot for the fireworks. So we headed to the hub and made ourselves comfortable for the wait we had. At this time brittany and I decided to make a Starbucks run to get some hot drinks to keep us warm on this chilly night. Of course everyone had the same idea so the line was out the door and all we could do was hope that we would get through before the fireworks started. As we waited and waited we could hear once upon a time start, and one day I will actually watch it.
We were making good time, I first asked if they had gingerbread lattes still, which they said no so I went with my next top ordered chai tea latte, and then a CM found some gingerbread and upgraded my grande to a venti for no cost. Bless!

They just can’t seem to get her name right

We grabbed everyone's drink and then it was the fun part of trying to weave our way through the crowd to get back to our group. We made it in one piece and before showtime.

After happily ever after it was a "meet you in adventure land" if we get split up in the post fireworks crowd. We all somehow managed to stay together and decided to take a cruise through the jungle. Plus the best part was that a boat was waiting and it was an easy walk on with no wait.
-this cruise is brought to you by awkward silence.
- in the hippo pool, CM shouting "LOUD NOISE LOUD NOISE!!!!!"
- once getting to trader Sam's "wow Mary poppins really let herself go"
- a 33 mile journey, that was the running joke and that's the finish line. Now get out!

After the jungle cruise we let Erin decide where to go next. It was basically a "we are going to follow you, you can't say no" and with that erin led us to the place she always leads to, pirates. It was too long of a wait. So instead we walked around the kingdom in search of a cream cheese pretzel. Meaning let's walk to the other side of the park to tomorrowland.
We walked all that way just to find out that they don't sell them anymore. This was sad news to Brittany since those are her favorite snacks and they are becoming harder and harder to find now a days. So we all just sat at a small table at the launching pad and hung out. Brittany did her best to search for something to eat with the handy dandy app called my disney experience while Erin became a Jake Paul and started “vlogging”
Brittany decided to go with a cinnamon roll from Gastons, so it was goodbye tomorrowland and off to fantasyland. On our way over brittany also suggested going on the tea cups…I WAS SHOCKED! Brittany hates the teacups cause she can’t take the spinning and refused to go on with me when we went to Disneyland Paris. So the fact that it came out of her mouth today took me off guard. And her award for going on the teacups was a delicious cinnamon roll.

Although we are all “classy” folks Brittany accidentally dropped some of her glaze on her boot but Garrett swooped down to wipe it off and save the day “I’ve never had anyone clean my shoe for me” -Brittany
Since we were in Fantasyland we decided to jump in line for Ariel since the ride never has a wait. Well today we were wrong and we were all confused when we saw the line outside. We turned right around and started saying “We thought this was the line to meet ariel” because we all felt to dumb to say we didn’t read the wait time and just jumped in line.
So it was once more back to wondering around the kingdom. As we made our way to HM the line out past the gates made us decide it was a no go. So we ended up at Thunder where we knew it would be worth the wait.
To make the wait seem fast we played Heads Up Disney edition and entertained all the guests around us. But honestly this app is the best for when you are stuck in line waiting forever. Once we finally got our run away train, Erin found a phone left in her seat and booked it too the guest who lost it, he honestly had no reaction but Erin was basically a hero tonight.

Kingdom Photoshoot

After thunder is was another stroll back to tomorrowland (because apparently we just like to get out steps in and run around the kingdom constantly) There we did the people mover and then headed over to cosmic ray (because along with walking so much, we also like to eat a lot)

The real struggle was choosing between the nuggs and the mac and cheese, the cheese won over tonight. But of course in the childs meal because that’s where the best value is.

After our late night meal it was finally time to use our buzz fp. I was straight forward when I told Brittany I did not want to ride with her. Trying to beat an old Tomorrowland attractions CM who rode Buzz everyday before work is not someone I could beat. But in the end I ended up beating her and was so close to maxing out.

And with that we called it a night. But before we left for good we stopped by the castle to take a few photos….which later turned into a full on photoshoot.

The boys ended up coming to the rescue and while we tried really hard to make the iPhone photos work. We ended up pulling out the GoPro, because the wide lens is great for getting the whole photo. So while Kiss was working the angles with the go pro Garrett was lightening us up by hold two phones with the flashlights on. Like when I say it became a tacky photoshoot, it became just that.

And I can only hope everyone has those people who are better at taking more obnoxious photos than nice ones.

At this point the boys gave up and decided to head back to the resort. We didn’t spend too much time after they left. We just wanted to get some photo pass photos because why not?!
I don’t know how it all went down but for some reason Brittany said “ball change kick” at some point of us putting our stuff down and getting ready to take a picture. Because the next thing we know the photo pass CM is asking her what she said and then goes “be the rockettes. First off I have to saw I love when CMs give you photo ideas because once again I can only do so many “stand next to each other and smile” pictures.

So as I stated a million times, tonight was freezing and we needed some warmth so we headed into uptown jewelers on main street in search of vera bradly. News to us, they don’t have them there anymore. So instead we found ourselves looking at the Dooneys, because who doesn’t want one of them lets be serious. Tonight, however I was not willing to throw $200 on a purse. I was willing to drop some cash on a cute crown ring but Brittany told me I needed a guy to buy me it, little did she know I almost bought it once getting home because I really liked it.
Since Main street didn’t have anything we needed we decided to call it a night and said goodbye to MK for this trip.

We said our goodbyes to Brittany and she told Erin if she ever found herself in disney without me that she always has a spare bedroom…so basically when you are too much of a handle and your friends make plans without you. But its all good because I’m glad my friends get along.
We caught our bus back to the lodge at 12:30. As we were just about to pull into the resort the bus stops and the bus driver is telling us that the check engine light came on. So he had to turn off the bus and if the light came back on once turning it back on then we would all have to get off and wait for another bus to come get us. This would be just our luck. but what we didn’t know was that we were literally right outside the gate and if that light came on I would have just walked. But luckily it didn’t come on and he could stay on route.
Once getting back to the room the boys were practically asleep. Erin suggested onesies and face masks and I was all about that. It was going great until she fell asleep on me….so by 2am we called it a night.

Laziest Day Ever

It was the last morning waking up at disney and apparently everyone was planning to just sleep the day away. So while everyone was sleeping I took my school bread out on the balcony in hopes to see some animals one last time.
Joke was on me since all the animals were hiding and keeping warm since it was currently 40 degrees out. So I didn't stay out very long at all.

Shoutout to kiss for the best Christmas present ever.

It was honestly a morning of laying around until I started complaining. I can't lay around doing nothing, I go crazy. Especially in a hotel room, let alone disney. So around 11 I decided to walk around the resort. I'm a very "I can go by myself if you want to be lazy" kind of person. I have no problem being a party of one around disney.
We wondered the lobby and when at AKL it's like a must to walk across the bridge.

As we waited for the boys to meet us on the bridge we took this time to start round one of photoshoots

Once Kiss brought the camera over it was then round 2…

Do you ever pass by club level and are instantly sad that you aren’t staying club level, cause that’s how Erin and I were feeling.

As we walked around we found ourselves outside by the pool

And don’t let that florida sunshine fool you it was only 50 degrees out.

We decided to let it fool us when we decided to run up to the room to change in our swimsuits. Would it be the best idea? Probably not, but we would soon find out.

AKL is a pretty good place to be if you need to walk around and kill time while everyone else is lazy. lol

See Ya Real Soon

Was I really planning to swim in 50 degree weather? No not really, we were staying at a deluxe resort meaning…hot tub. And that I could handle in this weather

It started to become a nice relaxing way to end our trip. So why not change it and jump into the pool. Now we probably should have went the other way with pool then hot tub because everyone knows that the hot tub makes the pool much colder.
We all made a packed to jump in together. We counted to 3 and off we jumped, they will all say it wasn’t bad but I honestly was not a fan at all. So it was a quick swim to the other side of the pool to get out.

The boys were done but Erin and I decided to test out the slide. It was kind of blah but the CM was super shocked that we were actually swimming and braving the cold. After that we decided to call it a day at the pool and head back to the room before it was no longer our room.

With our spontaneous decision to swim, this left us being like 5 minutes late to check in our bags. So it looked like we were going to have to check our bags at the airport. We ended up putting all of our belongings in storage and headed over to the Mara for our last disney meal.
To chicken nugg or not to chicken nugg that is the question.
I decided not too…but still went with a chicken option, sandwich form

Everything was going great until I got a bad cup, the chip wasn't working and when I went up to the CM she was not having it. Not because of me personal but because this was her third cup today with a none working chip. And if I was an obsessed pop drinker I would be mad that she wasted one of my fills on a little dribble. Good thing I wasn’t planning on getting my max amount of refills.
After lunch we headed to the gift shop for one last purchase. Now going into my purchase I knew I wanted something that said AKL and I do love hoodies so I could choose between cream and navy blue. Erin and I both knew I should go with Navy (because I’m one of the most messiest people you will ever meet) but the logo looked so much better on the cream one…so I got the cream one and knew it would probably only last one wear because it got some random stain on it.
After we headed back to the front to get our bags and as the CM came out with all our stuff the Tragical Express driver came up to us and asked if we wanted to head to the airport early. No thank you (is what I was saying but everyone else was saying yes) So heres to adding more time hanging out in the orlando airport.

Goodbye AKL, it has been fun.
The tragical ride was anything but fun and exciting, and I’m pretty sure I fell asleep.
Once arriving to the airport we had to check our bags in. And one thing I love now is the tag your own bags, its just an easier and quicker process. While I waited for everyone to tag their bags I found a sad balloon that got left behind.

Since we had time to kill we went into the earport where Erin and I picked up the same 2018 crewneck that we had no plans on getting earlier on in the trip.
Then it was through the forever long security line, to the gate, and after sitting there forever we were told that our gate changed and our flight was delayed. Oh the joy.
So it was a long trek to the new gate, waited some more, got on a plane to our layover and waited some more there.

But finally we were on our last plane of the night and made it home in one piece

And thats where this trip ends!
However if you don’t know me by now I got to visit the world since this trip ended. It was only a day trip, thanks to a lovely cruise excursion but hey I got to hang out in MK for a day and I will take it! So I will add a what can you actually accomplish at Disney with only 5 hours, with a touch of how much I love cruising.​
