I've noticed in some of the lovely photos posted here their littles ones dressed up. Ie princess, buzz lightyear, etc.

I was just wondering if you bought/brought your own costumes before getting to DLP or did you buy on site? If so, what are the prices like?

Also anyone know if they sell/have costumes for a large 8 yr old? I only ask because if I dressed up my 5 yr old son I know she would be pouting for her own.

Just curious. Hadn't thought of doing this before and might not but was wondering about the subject. :yay:

We live on Sunday! Can't wait.

This is more my wifes area of expertise for prices etc... But we did take our outfits for the girls with us, bought at the Disney Store beforehand.

You could definately buy them there, at a premium I am guessing (nothing was cheap) but I am not sure about the sizes available. My kids are 3 and 1 so the outfits are everywhere. Iam sure you will be able to get them.

Hope you have a good time, it was fantastic!

They were expensive the ones we saw between £35 and £50 they were in the Disney park next door to Snow White ride in Fantasyland ......but they were absolutely gorgeous, My daughter is 9 and she picked up 10-11 Belle dress I remember saying it was £42. She wanted it but she would not have worn it when she got home as she was caught up in the magic of the place, she is not normally into princesses she leaves that to my 6 year old.

So that saying they are available in your daughters age range but they are expensive

Whilst DIS boards have been unavailable tonight we have spent the time searching on EBay and have just bought a Belle dress (7-8) for £15. (Never worn/disney tagged).

ebay i would recommend, as the prices over in DLP are more expensive, even than in the Disney store here. if you think they'll wear them again to dress ups at school or what have you, it's probably worth it. if not - ebay it up!

and yes, sizes are available up to age 12 in most cases

yup they definitely go upto 12 usually. I remember a few years ago, wen i was 17, I managed to fit into a 12 year olds cinderella dress!!! was very funny at the time (im 5ft 4"..and still am!)
dont know if that helps at all, reading it back it prob doesnt but oh well!

I bought my daughter's belle dress on ebay. I think I paid about £13 for it. It was much better quality than the ones sold at DLP. Unfortunately you won't have time to get one from ebay before you go though.

haha yep i fit into an age 12 belle winter dress last time i went (i'm 5ft 3) - was slightly terrifying!

we're all just princesses at heart really!

I would love my kids to wear some funky character outfits but we go in March and January times and I think they usually have enough layers on as it is:rotfl:
We will have to try Disneyland out in the warmer weather one of these days!!!

Thanks all. I think we'll give the dressing up a bit of a miss this time. I'm sure we'll have just as great a time without. If/when we do return and its warmer Ill try to plan a bit more ahead for it.

Going to pick up my euros later today and start packing tomorrow and Vive la France we're flying out Sunday!! :thumbsup2
