Do kids dress up at Chef Mickey's? I know they dress up at the princess breakfasts, but what about a Chef Mickey's breakfast? My daughter has a Minnie Mouse costume she wants to wear. I'm sure this is allowed, but will there be many other kids there dressed up?

I say go for it... she would be so cute..... and I would think that Minnie might make an extra fuss over her..... she always has for us when we wear a Minnie shirt....

There isn't any place your dd can't wear her costumes. They are everywhere and it's so cute to see all of them. :)

I made dd a dress with the minnie fabric (red with white polka dots), she will look so cute. SO I would say definately let her wear it and take lots of pics!

Hi
My DGD loved dressing as Minnie. Her picture is in my signature. Also, this year, she wants the pink Minnie dress from the Disney store. I know I'll end up buying it for her. She wants to wear it to Chef Mickeys this August for dinner. Minnie paid a lot of attention to her and it was so much fun for my DGD. Have a great time!!

By all means...she'll be in Disney....doesn't really matter if others are dressed up or not!! Let her enjoy her time at CM and her costume..what a cute photo you'll get with Minnie.......though most likely there will be others too....

I didn't notice any children dressed up during our recent CM meal, but DD3 had on a Mickey shirt and he made quite a big deal of it. DD LOVED the attention. I think costumes would be fun...we didn't have a Minnie costume and really didn't even think about it. We are doing Donald's Safari Breakfast in September and I am looking for matching Donald and/or Daisy shirts for my DD and a friend's DD. We will be spendng the day at AK, so we will probably not pack costumes. Have fun!:)

Here are the outfits that I put together for my 2 DD's for Chef Mickey's:

Ok, can they really be any more adorable?!?

I really wish I was as talented! I have a lil girl 4. I really want to go out, and find some fabric, and sew outfits. But, I would never know where to start. :guilty: :guilty:

Everybody's pictures are adorable! Wish I had the talent to make sets like strmtroopr96 !

DD5 wears her Minnie costume every year. This year we will be on the deluxe dining, and we have a ton of character meals planned. A lot of the characters overlap for us, so I'll pack both the costumes and the custom Minnie outfits I bought for DD5 last year. Hopefully they will fit. She may be tired of the same costume for CM, Mickey's BBQ, Ohana breakfast....

Seriously, I have no crafty or sewing talent!! LOL :lmao: All I did was use some glue and felt, etc.

For the little one, Walmart sold the red and white polka dotted dress so all I did was cut a Mickey head out of of black felt and used fabric glue to attach it. The bow was already part of the dress so that was perfect. Then I ironed on Minnie on the back but they didn't work so well and were peeling before we even got there. I have to fix that with better letters maybe. O also glued a little piece of black with polka dots ribbon too. I found the perfect headband at Target with the 4th of July baby stuff. This whole thing didn't take more than a few minutes and is far from perfect looking but really easy.

For my oldest, the hardest part was finding something red with polka dots to fit her! She is big for her age and I would keep seeing people wearing the perfect shirt but couldn't find one for sale. Finally, Kmart had a Ladies size medium shirt on a clearance rack and it worked. I again did the Mickey head and Minnie letters. For Minnie's bow, I found a pack of scrapbooking stickers with a teeny bikini in red with polka dots. I cut the straps off and that bikini became a bow! LOL :woohoo: Then we added a scarf for her hair and and a black skort and were all set!

Although, I just bought some tulle and ribbon and plan on attempting to make Cinderella tutu's but eve that only involves tying the tulle to the ribbon. And I found cute animal print skirts on clearance at Kmart and plan on getting black tank tops and using felt again to add Mickey heads to them.

But everything else Disneyish and crafty looking for our next trip came straight from Ebay, etc. and people who really are crafty! :goodvibes
