Oh this thread is for me!! I have so much fun planning my kids outfits for Disney! I make overalls so for this trip (we go in 10 days) My DD 5 has Tinkerbell, 2 Minnie's, and a Cinderella set. I also made my DS who just turned 2 a tigger pair and a Mickey pair. I did get him a Cars shortall on eBay too. And of course we have to bring all the princess: princess dresses I also make my daughter's hair bows that I embroider all the characters on.
I agree there are some really cute eBay outfits but some are sooo pricey. So I started making them myself and I have so much fun! they are only little once right?
Here are some pictures I have so many I didn't know which ones to use- I hope this isn't too many I narrowed it down LOL!

Do you sell on ebay? I read this thread earlier today and checked ebay out to see if I saw anything cute and I think I bought one of your bows! It was a minnie mouse bow. Now I read it again and see your post. Too funny! I LOVE your bows. Did you make that Alice Dress?

I was going to ask the same thing Alissa....do you sell stuff to people. The stuff is sooo cute. Also, there was another post about a phone # for the t-shirts I'd love that to.

You are all very talented....my dtr. is going to have to go with what I can find at Kohl's and Wal-mart. :rotfl2:

Oh well - I scrapbook after the trip! Can't be good at everything right?

I've been searching and buying outfits too. We're styaing at the Poly so I bought a Gymboree Hawaiian set- floral bike shorts and an Aloha top. She also has a Hawaiian Minnie shirt.
I have the Tinkerbell tutu dress that DD will wear to MNSSHP. She won't wear the Princess dresses because they are too itchy. I bought her a custom "I love Minnie" embroidered tee shirt. It has a Minnie head and a real bow. I also have a t shirt with the 3 Princesses on it. For her birthday I bought a custom shirt with the girl Minnie and Disney font saying "It's my birthday". For her Park Fare dinner I wanted a Cinderella custom dress. I only found aline dresses on ebay, which I didn;t like. Then I saw a cute tank dress with a tulle skirt, a birthday cake embroidered with the # 4. It's so cute.

I am planning on doing an iron on Snow White tee shirt. I am also planning on doing 4 of the Mickey head tie dye tee shirts. My DD also has the Disney store Minnie tee shirt and my DS has the Mickey one. I bought DS and DH an Incredibles tee also. My DD saw it and she wanted one too so I paid a ridiculous amount for a Violet tee shirt on Ebay. Of course my disney store couldn;t have one when they were 4.99 each.
I also bought myself two Disney shirts, one Minnie and one Tink.

I'll be sure to post pictures after our trip.

I do sell on eBay ;) If anyone wants my eBay id just PM me.
Thats so funny #1 Pocahontas!! What a small world!!
I wish I made the Alice dress!! They don't make them anymore. They were sold in Disney World for years, but stopped selling them about 8 years ago I think. They have a new Alice, but the quality is just not the same :( I was lucky enough to find a bigger size this year on eBay. I was still squeezing my poor daughter into the 3T at 4 1/2 LOL ! They are sooo hard to find I did a daily eBay search but they usually go over $90.00!! But I finally found one for our trip next week :)

We are going in Feb for the first time as a "family" with our new little guy. We have got some stuff for him already, while I dont think I will dress him in a costume while we are there he already has quite the Disney wardrobe. Im sure when he's older we might but at 6 months I dont know if its something that I want to do.

Aliisa: WOW- what a small world........I've bought several bows from you- LOVE THEM!! I need a few more- so you may hear from me soon!

Yes- I have a 'Disney' outfit for my daughter for every day that we are in the 'world'! I'm glad to know that I am not the only obsessive person! She loves the attention- especially the extra attention from the characters. A lot of people stop and ask @ the outfits- I could probably sell each of her outfits off her back-lol! :rotfl: In fact, I am about to list some of her outfits from last september that do not fit anymore! I look at it as 'trading' her outfits- at least that's what I'm trying to convince DH!!! :teeth:

Our first trip was in the fall so we coordinated our outfits for pictures. Gotta have those scrabook layouts! LOL My boys wore character t-shirts depending on the character meal we had. One of our best pictures was all of us wearing red Disney logo shirts.

Our next trip will be in December and it will be harder to plan outfits in cooler weather. Hopefully I can find several different sets of sweashirts.

Does anyone have directions for making the Mickey tie-dye shirts?

My poor DD is stuck wearing stuff from the Disney store and even Walmart *gasp*! But now that I see this cute stuff I may have to reconsider! Then it will be my poor husband when the credit card bill comes in!

You guys are incredible... my kids wear logo tees, they have like a thousand disney tee shirts, which usually get all covered in food by the end of the day anyway, and then I have to try and wash them... :rotfl: last year I bought ds a Stitch t-shirt,he set a new record- he wore it for around 60 minutes before it was completely covered in chocolate ice cream stains, which of course won't come out, so we call that our souvenir from last years trip!(the ice cream) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Then we photshop the gunk off the shirts in our pictures when we get home!!! :lmao:
I like the tye dye Mickey tees a lot, how did you make those?

LOL...This sounds like my dd7...I swear she is the only kid in the world who can get dirty taking a bath

My kids just wear regular clothes...I will try to pack some disney themed tshirts etc..but I don't stress our too much...As long as they are wearing something cool and mix and match (to cut down on packing!!), is all I care about. ALthouth this year, I may try to make matching shirts for all of us for at least one day.

I have seen those outfits on Ebay and they are just adorable! Too bad I only have a teenage son, I don't think he'd let me dress him up!

Have any of you that make the outfits thought about making adult outfits? I know I would love something like that for myself!

It will be HOT when we go. So most of the really cute stuff won't work. Last year, my kids dressed in cute Gymboree clothing (my prior addiction). This year, they still have so many that i cannot justify buying more. But I did make matching shirts for them to wear. And got some other ones at Gabriel Brothers. Here are the ones I made...

Very cool! How did you make these?

There is a lady on eBay who sells Mommy Minnie shirts and flip flops. I had a woman buy a pair of Minnie ribbon socks from me once. I always make myself a tiny red and white polka dot bow to wear in my ponytail. I make jeweled barrettes too, and last year I bought some charms from Disney World and added them to the barrettes. So I have a Tinkerbell and Cinderella's coach barrette :)

anybody want to help me see what you are looking at on ebay?

I have a girl who is almost about to outgrow smocking. I search for smocked and whatever character. We have Cinderella, and I've seen Snow White, Peter Pan (includes Tinker Bell and Wendy), Tinker Bell by herself, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Mermaid (Ariel). If you want Tinker Bell, you also have to get creative and try tinkerbell and tinkerbelle because some folks don't spell it right.

I love to dress my 5 year old up for our Disney trip... So much fun! She wears all the Princess dresses and I make custom overalls and minnie skirts also sell on ebay. My ebay id is mysunshinekaylarose. My friend Aliisha in previous posts got me hooked so I started selling also..Its a great place to find a unique outfit for your trip..Everyone always stops and asks where we got the overalls..Great pictures also..I cant wait for our next trip/cruise May 2007!! princess:
