Dressing for December

I have started checking out the weather in preparation for our Thanksgiving weekend trip and it really varies. Today's high is 83. Tomorrow it will only get into the upper 50s.

We are just hanging out at the resorts an DTD other than our MVMCP. Since we will be in the park only at night, I'm expecting it to be chilly.

We just bought lightweight waterproof jackets with hoods for all. We will wear long pants/jeans and layer whatever shirts under the jackets that we need when we check the weather that morning (tshirt/long sleeved/ sweater).

I was hoping to have the kids wear some cute coordinating outfits and get some Christmas pictures, but this just seems more practical since I have no way of predicting the weather.

I think it is supposed to rain the day before Thanksgiving. What type of shoes are you packing for the rainy day or night? I have never been to Disney during the winter and am usually not outside for very long ( usually just running in and out of stores) when it is cold and rainy. Any suggestions

I have been at this time of year every year since 2008. As mentioned, 2010 was the absolute worst. I would have just as soon been at home considering how cold it was. :crazy2: Last year was the absolute best - mid 80s every day - it was heavenly. And as you have already been told numerous times . . . bring a little of everything because no-one knows what it will be like. :p Here's hoping for 80s again!!!

HERE'S ANOTHER HOPING FOR 80'S! :dance3:pixiedust:

Hey, just give me some SUN to "survive" the winter...:goodvibes"NEED MY VITAMIN D"!:goodvibes:thumbsup2

Wednesday is our travel day (visiting family for thanksgiving). No weather posted yet past that. I'm hoping for no rain. I was planning to just wear my Merrill Mary Jane-type sneakers, but they will be rather uncomfortable if wet. I may bring some light boots, but DS only has sneakers.

We always do Disney in the warm weather and I always wear flip flops, DH keen sandals, and the kids usually crocs so we can all go from wet to dry easily.

DH and I both grew up in FL, but I really don't remember rain in the winter. Is it usually light or will it be soaking like the summer downpours?

Wet shoes are a problem, one year no rain then bam I walked from WS back to BWI with soaking wet loafers and feet no socks it was warm so my feet were a nice shade of black for awhile. Thinking about just bringing my rain boots and calling it a day.

:santa: We will be heading down to WDW the first week in December and have never visited in the winter before. What should we be packing for the trip? We are going to the MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional, so we'll be outdoors a lot. Being from the north it's hard to figure out what we need to bring....shorts? capris? jeans? Any advice on what most women wear to the parks during December would be really helpful!
Thanks!!

I go in December every year. One year it never got above 70 all week, next two years it was in the 70's and 80's. I would wait for the week before and see what the forecast is but either way pack for cool (high of 60) to warm (low 80's). Mornings though can get chilly.
