To tell you the truth I prefer Uniforms! I have a really relaxed dress code at school and I would rather not have to choose what to wear in the morning. Plus I like the orderly and proffessional look that comes with wearing uniforms!

I went to Catholic school in 5th- 8th grade so we had to wear uniforms. Though they were good to wear because you never had the trouble of wondering what you are going to wear in the morning, i would prefer to wear my own clothes because it is a way to show your personality. The girls in catholic school would always wear funky socks in order to stand out lol.

I go to a Catholic high school and have to wear a uniform. It's easy in the morning that I wear the same thing everyday but I would like to wear my own clothes.

I go to a public high school. No uniforms, but a fairly decent dress code. Mostly just a lot of rules about what we can't wear. I love being able to wear what I want, and I would never be able to deal with uniforms. I need to be comfortable when I go to school, and uniforms are too rigid/professional, etc for me. I go to school in sweatshirts and fleece tops, stuff that is totally comfy. I'm looking for fleece pants for school too. Just because I dress comfy doesn't make me a slob, and I don't dress skanky either. I just don't feel that it's right for a school to mandate exactly what a person wears. Dress code is fine because there is stuff that no one should wear, especially to school, but there's no way on earth that they should tell us exactly what to wear.

i went to a public school from pre k to 8th and now starting hs im going to a private school we have to wear uniforms but they rnt the same exact thing every day we can wear a skirt or pants or shorts but all have to be kacki or wool for the winter and we can wear different color shirts but they have to be oxford or polo but we ALWAYS HAVE to wear our blazer w/ our school patch on it so its not that bad but if i went to my regional hs i could wear w/e i wanted they dont have a strict dress code at all at that hs my middle school dress code was worse but i think i can get used to wearing almst the same thing every day

I went to public school K-8, now I go to a Catholic hs and we have to wear uniforms. However, just like 2HOT2touch, our uniforms don't have to be th4e same exact thing every day. For our warm weather uniforms, we can choose between two different colored polo shirts, but during winter, underclassmen have to wear a certain sweater. Seniors can wear varsity sweaters. Girls can also choose between pants and skirts (although in my two years of going there, I have only seen 2 girls wearing pants). We can also alternate between two different skirts. Although we do have choices, I still prefer to wear regular clothes.

I go to Public School, We are having a new principal this year and he would like to change the dress code to uniforms. Our dress code right now is just about what we can't wear to school. I would hate to have to wear uniforms. I don't know if he'll even change it to uniforms. He just wants to change it.

I went to a Catholic school for K-8 gr. Now I go to a public hs. I didn't really mind wearing uniforms becuase now I have trouble choosing what I'm going to wear everyday. I guess it's just what you're used to.

I WISH we had uniforms. I like being able to express myself, but I hate it when kids get made fun of for their clothes, and there is just so much trouble right now about what you can and can't wear to school, like all the guys wearing their pants around their knees. Uniforms would just be SOOOO much easier! It's nice for ME to choose what I want to wear, but a lot of kids don't have much money, and whatever they choose, they're going to get made fun of. :( At least with uniforms, they can still say "Hey, you look like a geek," but then you can just say "Hey, you do too," and everybody gets along!!:teeth:
