dresscode=pools and water parks?

Whats the dresscode for the resort pools and water parks? If i'm brave enough I might wear a 1 pieces. Would i be able to wear some cute womans swim shorts over it? I'm not over weight well 5'6 187 but even when i was 120 i never wore a 2 pieces-lol! Just wondering if its only bikni or swim suits.
If there anyone else timid like me or plus size please give me some advice. I would love to get wet with dd(I only wear short in the privacy of my home infront of dd and dh). I hate having chicken legs-lol!

You should be fine with swim shorts over a one-piece.

Some stores sell skirts to wear over a swimsuit too, or get a full coverage tankini (no belly shows) with the skirted bottom. (my favorite suit style.)

No matter what you decide, have fun!

TAnkinis are GREAT-- the coverage of a one-piece, the convenience of a two.

Try www.landsend.com . They have a huge variety of well made suits.

I can definately feel your pain when it comes to bathing suit shopping ! Ugh
But don't let it dampen your spirits - dd is on the plump side and struts around in a sailor suit

A two piece style with control and support is definately the way to go. You do not want to get whip lash on those water rides or spend the day worrying about falling out of your suit. Not to mention, the effort involved in struggling out of a wet suit for a potty stop. I found some terrific styles at

You could also go on QVC.COM they have wonderful swimsuits with great coverage for woman of all sizes. Sometimes they have shows that show off there products.

Another vote for lands end suits! I just purchased my first one this week-I can already tell that it's worth the investment!

I usually just buy a one piece suit and then go to Wal-Mart and get either the swim shorts or the nylon running shorts. Have never had a problem wearing either of those over my swim suit.

Last year, at Typhoon Lagoon, we saw lots of people wearing t-shirts over their suits.

I have a tankini from Lands End that has shorts. They dry super fast..and give me just that little bit more of coverage than a regular one piece. Only they aren't just an unmatched pair of shorts over a suit. Looks much nicer.
