So on a spur of the moment decision I booked dinner for 3 at Yachtsman's Steakhouse for a late dinner (8pm) in November. This dinner will be on our DHS day. That night Fantasmic will be going on at 6:30pm and I figured we'd just walk over once it was done...

Now I'm not too worried on getting from DHS to the Yachtsclub in time for our ADR but I'm wondering about dress-code...

If the girls (28 & 31) wear jeans and a nice shirt (ie Polo) and the guy (28) wears slacks and a nice shirt will we look too out of place? We're at PoP so we wouldn't have time to change and I would hate to lose park-time to go back and get changed (but will if need too).

This is our first Signature meal and I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb

Thanks!

What you've listed is not prohibited by any dress code of Disney's other than Victoria & Alberts.

The prohibitions at signature restaurants are: swimwear, torn clothing, cutoff shorts, tee shirts with "offensive" slogans or graphics, and for men - hats and tank tops.

Hello neighbor :-). We have been there several times and love this place. You will be fine in the attire as desbribed below. I think the only WDW fancy clothed restaurant would be Victoria and Alberts that require a jacket.

Enjoy.....

Your attire you suggested sounds just fine and I have to say that as someone who appreciates atmosphere in all restaurants, including the Disney signature ones that we eat at every night, that I appreciate that you are taking the time to ask here and that you are excited to go to your first signature meal and want to look appropriate. I wish all families would do the same--there are people who agree and disagree, but the bottom line is that Disney gives the dress code for a reason, for the restaurant to have a certain atmosphere. One trip a couple years ago, we went to Yachtsman and saw a father wearing a tank top with large open sleeves that you could see his armpits and parts of his chest throughout dinner! It was really inappropriate IMO. So again, thanks for your consideration, your attire will fit in fine, and I hope you enjoy a wonderful meal! We have been going to Yachtsman on our last evening every trip for 14 years so I know you wont be disappointed : )

I am one of those people who agree!

OP, I think you will be fine. I will say that when we do a nice dinner in hot weather, we will often bring a change of shirt (so we're not sweaty) or shoes. I think flip flops are still prohibited (the pool kind) is that true? Either way, I usually bring nicer shoes and a button down shirt to go over my capris instead of my sweaty park tank top lol.

Also I love the Yachtsman. If you like onion, ask for more of the onion pull apart bread. Yum! The risotto is great too. It is a side dish, but I asked for it as our appetizer and it was a GREAT choice! :)

Have a good time!
