We are getting married Sept 8, 2004 at Sunset Point at 1 pm and were trying to find a way to get a picture w/ tigger in our wedding attire. We were told that he could not attend the ceremony and there is no reception. Has anyone found a way around no formal attire in the parks?

First of all, try checking out the resorts that have character dining. You may be able to get a picture with tigger there. I think Fort Wilderness hosts a breakfast with the Winnie the Pooh characters, and I think also the Swan or Dolphin on certain days. Also, I think Old Key West has one. I would try that. Even if you can't get there on your exact wedding day maybe you could pick a day and go for breakfast in your wedding attire. (you have to go to a restraunt at a resort though, not the parks)

I don't believe there is anyway around getting into the park with wedding attire unless you opt to do the Park photo shoot package. this would entail you getting up very early in the morning and heading over to MK before the park opens. Even then I don't know that the characters would be available for pictures then. One other option would be to (see if you can wear your veil) or purchase a minnie veil and where that with a nice white sun dress. Have your pic taken from the waist up and it looks like your in a formal gown, nobody will know but you! (and Tigger of course). Those are just my ideas. Hoped that helped a little. Good Luck!

MERANDAB4 THANKS FOR YOUR ADVISE I APPRECIATE THE IDEAS. WE LOOKED INTO THE MK PHOTO PACKAGE THERE ARE NO CHARACTER PICTURES W/ THAT EITHER. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE HONEYMOON PICTURES DONE, BUT THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T TELL US IF WE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET CHARACTER PICTURES WITH THAT.

The only other way I can think of to get character photos would be to have the character attend your cake/champagne reception, which is possible, but unfortunatly, Pooh characters are not allowed to attend wedding festivities. I'm not sure why, but I had asked if I could have Pooh and Tigger and was told they were some of the chars that couldn't come.

Now, if you change your mind and decide you want Mickey or Minnie, etc, then you can arrange for them to attend at the same pricing as a custom wedding pays. I can't remember the whole list right now, but Mickey and Minnie for my reception was $1070 for 30 minutes.

Sorry, but I HTH!

hey there... about this time last year we were in disney and went to a character breakfast and dinner at the grand floridian. i believe the pooh characters were all there. also fort wilderness does something....

ask your event manager how they could work this out for you... maybe they have some good ideas!!

Kristen I think it's to do with who owns the rights on the characters themselves.

Hence you can't have Pooh characters or Star Wars or Muppet characters.
