Hi everyone. I'm new to the boards & have learned a lot just from reading all your posts:) But I have a question. We're heading to WDW in November & have booked an 8:15 Akerhaus princess breakfast for our DD (2), but I'm wondering...should we get her dressed up in a princess dress or not? I want her to get the most out of the experience (or as much as a 2-year old can 'get') & don't know how much of that is tied into dressing as your favorite princess. This is all new to us, we know how to make our DS (5) happy. Pirates all the waypirate:

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would say that about 50-60% of the little girls there our last trip had Princess dresses on.

We slipped DD's over a sundress so that it would be easy to slip off when she got too hot (after our lunch).

I would recommend wearing the costume. You will get some great pics with the princesses. I will post some pics from our last visit to Akershus

We had a ball. You can bring clothes to change after your meal.

Great idea to bring a change of clothes. Never really thought of that:idea: Since she'll be right in the middle of her "terrible twos", it's probably a good idea to have both options covered - with and without costume. Great pictures, Candikayne. I would love to get a picture of her in costume next to Belleprincess: Thanks!

Definately dress up - you'll love the pictures.

Bring change of clothes

I agree, I would do the dress up because of the pictures. We went last month, the picture in my signature is from the photo package you get. Also got some great pics when the princesses can to the table. My DD6 loved it!:thumbsup2

absolutely dress up! Take a change of clothes in case she wants to change after breakfast (my DD's wouldn't take their princess dresses off all day!).

If your DD balks at putting on the costume that morning - dress her in regular clothes and TAKE the princess dress. When she sees others dressed up, she may change her mind and you'll be ready to pop the dress on her.

BTW - when they keep the dresses on all day, they get the cutest comments from CMs all over the park! "Why hello, Princess!" "Right this way, Princess Ariel" "How are you today Aurora?"

Just be ready with a change of clothes and let her decide when to change clothes.

You get to have great pics and great conversation with at least four-five princesses. We met Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Mulan and Snow White. You'll have a wonderful time!:thumbsup2

That is so true! My girls kept their Jamine costumes on all day. They got the Princess treatment all day. Even from other guests, let alone the castmembers. We brought clothes just in case. But only thing they wanted to change was their shoes.
