Dress steaming

Hi ladies!

how many of you had this done by Carolyn Allen's and how much did this service cost? Also what was your dress like after you'd had it done? My dress is made from satin is this okay to steam?

i have nothing but good things to say about her-- she came, did her thing, and left-- my dress looked gorgeous! I think I paid $60 dollars..

I booked Carolyn Allen for my wedding in October. Another interesting service is that you can ship your dress down and they will deliver it to you. Just an alternative to traveling with it. I'm definitely shipping mine down (obviously with FedEx or UPS). That's will be one less thing to worry about!

I just booked her and for my dress and veil it is $65. $15 for each additional dress. She asked me to email her with the fabric of all the dresses, she said some can not be steamed but ironed and she needs to know prior to the morning of the wedding.

We used her as well. Multiple times. I had nothing but a good experience. Also, I did ship my dress down via FedEx and had it delivered to the shop. I did take the dress back later in the year as carry on. Honestly, it was a better deal to ship it. It was way less stress.
