I'm a little unclear of how to get my dress steamed the day of the wedding. I've heard mention of outside vendors...does Disney not have the capability to steam dresses? Can anyone help me out with this? How much should it cost to steam a dress and how can I get it done? Also - should I be paying for my bridesmaids to get steamed? So confused! :confused3

Hi! I do not have my wedding stuff in front of me now...I am lounging with the laptop! The tuxedo places that Disney recommends have steaming services.

All the best!

This is the one almost everyone on the board will most likely recommend.

I plan on using them for my steaming and tux rental.

Ditto! I think it's $65 for the steaming for the bridal gown. I think it's approx $150 for the tuxes including fittings, delivery and pick up :)

HTH!!

Disney does not do steaming, so that's why you have to use an outside vendor. We also used Carolyn Allen and she actually came to our room twice on our wedding day...right on time!! She steamed my dress before the wedding and then steamed my dress and my DH's tux that afternoon, so we would look great for our MK photos. She gave me a discount too because I used her twice. It is extra for veil, crinoline, etc. You have to add up how much it's all going to cost. I had my dress and crinoline steamed before the wedding and then just the dress and DH's tux that afternoon. It was amazing for much better my dress looked after it has been steamed! Carolyn did a fantastic job and took a long time steaming our stuff to perfection!! :thumbsup2

Just another thumbs up for Carolyn Allens :thumbsup2

I had arranged to use her to steam both my wedding dress and BM dresses - turns out the material I had for my BM dresses had to be pressed and not steamed, I didn't know until Carolyn turned up but she just got on with the job.

I've heard other brides have said she's not the most "communicative" of vendors, but she smiled and kept to her chore in hand and for that I was grateful, she seemed very nice :)

Im going to be using Carolyn Allens for my wedding - i went to the store when i was on my planning visit in May and they were so helpful and friendly!

Hello! We're using Absolutely Fitting for my gown steaming. It costs $90 but then my bridesmaid's get theirs for $25 each. She is meeting me at my hotel the morning of. Give them a call. Or just look them up on the web at www.absolutelyfitting.com I'm working with Jon and he has been so wonderful...considering I've changed my mind on tux rentals and gown steaming a dozen and one times. :rotfl2:
