Dress sizes at BBB?

I'm going to buy the girls dresses ahead of time to save a little money, but I'm buying the Park Authentic dresses from Ebay. Can anyone tell me about the sizes there? Do they run pretty true to size, or do they tend to be smaller or larger?

I need one for my youngest dd, who is wearing size 5. Should I get size 4/5, or size 6/6x? Also for my 8 yo dd who usually wears size 7 pants, size 8 shirts. Would I be pretty safe getting size 7/8 for her, or should I go up to 9/10? (Do they have that, or would I have to go clear up to 10/12?)

I am planning on letting the girls wear them for Halloween, then putting them away until our spring trip, so I need them to not fit too tight. What sizes should I get?

They run a bit big.

I bought ours a little big since I wanted them to last longer (bought in park almost 3 years ago). My 8 year old wears 8 pants and almost 10 shirts and wore her 7/8 Aurora dress last month, but it has stretched over the years since its bodice is a stretchy velour material.

My DD wears a size 5. I bought her a 6/6x and it is wearable, but pretty roomy. My niece got a 4/5 dress and that fit my DD perfectly.I would get your younger DD the 6/6x. There is no 9/10, I just looked up all the sizes for their costumes on the disneystore.com website yesterday, shopping for another little girls birthday present. The height for the 10/12 is 54 to 60 in. and the weight is 67-85, if that is possibly in your older daughters range for next spring, then maybe it is a better value to go up. The height weight for the 7/8 is 48-54 in. and the weight is 50-67. It is a pretty funny coincidence that I was just looking all of this stuff up and still have it written down in front of me.

When we went in Sept 2009 my oldest was 5.5 yrs old (50% weight and 90% height at dr checkup) and wearing some size 5 and some size 6. We bought her a 6/6X dress and it was fine. Here are a couple of pics so you can see how it fit her (Belle dress).

Thanks so much for taking the time to post the pictures!! I think I'll get the 6/6x for my 5 year old. From the way you describe your dd, they are very similar size. I'm still undecided about my 8 year old, but I lean toward getting it bigger. I don't want to risk her outgrowing it before our trip. She also loves to dress up, so I know she would wear it a lot after the trip! Thanks again for the help!
