a GREAT Elsa dress? And why doesn't the Disney Store have an Aurora Dress???? WTH? :confused3

We have an older tiny Aurora dress from the summer, and before Halloween this year the Disney Store sold out of the dress, and I have been waiting for them to get in the current/newest version but jeez...it's been 4 months already!!! Aurora is my daughter's FAVORITE.

Any ideas?

PS, I know we can get these dresses at places like Target, but we love the quality of the dresses that are made by Disney.

Thanks!

I saw aurora there over Christmas. They also have a special edition Elsa but it $$$$$

I was at the Disney Store NYC over Christmas, and it definitely wasn't in the store when I was there. I live in downtown Manhattan so I try and check in once in a while. Maybe it was there for a moment and it got sold out again?

Either way, it's not there now. :(

I did see the Elsa dress, but it was $200, which it BAH-CRAY-CRAY for a costume. Wow.

I am looking for the ones that run around $49.

Yes, I saw some at JC Penny, but there isn't one around or near me so I can go see the quality of it. But that is a good place to start. Thanks!

J.C. Penney actually has Disney Store/Disney Park merchandise now (at least there are 565 J.C. Penney's that do). They reached a deal in fall 2013 with Disney where they are actually basically having mini shops of 750-1000 square feet inside the Penny's stores, which carry Disney Store/Disney Parks and supposedly also some Just for Penney's merchandise. As such, you can find dresses there that are Disney Store/Disney Parks quality.

As far as finding an Elsa dress, that may be pretty hard to do right now. I went on a hunt with a friend for one exactly a week before Christmas because her DD suddenly started saying that was the one and only item she wanted for Christmas. Elsa is hugely popular, and we finally found one little Target one at on out of the way less busy Target, after going to a multitude of other stores. Wasn't the best dress, but it was enough that her DD loved it. Hopefully, they will re-stock over the next few weeks, but I know right now, I think they are even out of them across the Disney parks. It is Rapunzel all over. In a couple of months they will be flooding the market with them, but right now they are really hard to find. Good luck!

Thank you for the info on JC Penny! That's great!!

And as far as Elsa goes, I am almost tempted to sew one (I am a not so great sewer, but have made a few impressive things...lol) but that thing looks REALLY detailed and intricate, and knowing me, it'll take me so much time to do it and cost a fortune trying to duplicate the movie. UGH.

Ok, I will be on the hunt!

We go to WDW in March, and maybe in 2 months time they will have them to buy- at least maybe at EPCOT. Fingers crossed.

Dang. I love the movie Frozen. :lovestruc

Have you seen this Aurora one?

We have bought from them a lot because DD has done lots of shows etc. where she needed costumes. We've been happy with most everything we have gotten from them. You can always send it back if if doesn't work.

WOW. Those are NICE.
I am not trying to be picky, BUT....the issue with those is that there's a zipper in the back- the dresses she has now she pulls on and off...ALL DAY. So it would involve a lot of zipping and unzipping.
BUT WOW those are awesome!!!! Thank you!!!

Okay- one last thought. Have you looked at Etsy for Elsa or Aurora dresses? That is a pretty good go to, when we can't find anything at the costume shop. Some of the prices are really high, and some are reasonable. The couple of hand made costumes we have bought were in the $50 range and they were gorgeous. I didn't do a full search, but on a quick browse, I saw these Elsa ones that caught my eye:

Disney Store has the Elsa nightgown in smaller sizes.

They really knocked it out of the park with this nightgown because it matches the dress the Disney Store Elsa doll is wearing almost perfectly. We can't keep up with washing the nightgown because DD wants to wear it day and night. I wish I had bought two before they sold out of DD's size…she even wore it to see the movie for the second time and brought her Anna and Elsa dolls to sit in her lap.

Can't explain Aurora but I know Elsa is on backorder. I heard it might be awhile before they get them in!

Thank you all so much!

And guess what? Aurora is BACK on the Disney Site!!! YAY!!!!
Totally getting the dress now, and it's one of the new singing dresses. Woo hoo!!!

As far as Elsa goes, I saw the nightgown today when I went to the store in Times Square, and was totally thinking "wow, this looks just like a costume!"
I think I am going to order it since it is so well made. I am annoyed I didn't just grab it today. UGH!

Oh well...maybe it's another excuse to hit the store. :)
