I have some friends who are asking "may we wear theme park (in July) clothes to Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge? Will we feel out of place?"

Has anyone eaten there lately that could give some insight. I seem to recall a mixutre of business casual, jeans, and shorts when I was there several years ago.

I went there on my honeymoon in January. It was a last minute thing that we decided to do on our last night there, calling and getting a reservation just a few hours before. They did tell us when making the reservation that it was business casual attire. I wore capris and a summery top with flip flops and my husband wore jeans and a polo with boat shoes. We fit right in just fine with our attire, however we would certainly have felt out of place in shorts and tshirts!

We ate there for our anniversary in April. People were dressed in a wide variety of attire, some in shorts and teeshirts (I guess that's their business's casual?!) and some really dressed up (dresses, heels, etc.) DH wore a collared golf shirt and Dockers, I wore a collared blouse and Docker shorts. We didn't see any tank tops, ripped jeans, or bathing suits is all.

The official Disney dress code for AP suggests more up-scale attire. While people may sometimes be allowed in with shorts and flip-flops, why risk being turned away?

When we ate there, I noticed a little of everything. I wore nice jeans and a nice top and so did my 2 girls. My dh wore a pair of jeans and a collared shirt. I made him even tuck his shirt in. I saw alot of people there though that had a different meaning of business casual than I do. I really didn't care though. I really enjoyed my meal here.

July's pretty darn hot! My first thought would be that your friends might appreciate the chance to take a quick shower to cool down before heading off for dinner.

We ate at Artist's Point last Monday as the first meal for our vacation. I saw some dressy outfits but mostly the men were wearing "casual Friday" type clothes - collared short sleeve shirts, khakis and maybe (I don't remember) nice jeans. I wore a long sleeveless summer dress and I made my boys wear pants (jeans and khakis). I saw a couple dressier outfits on women and girls but mostly it was neat, clean, slightly dressy looks.

Hope this helps!

So funny... I ate at AP last Monday as well! Anyway, I agree with what others have said about the dress. They say business casual, but I think some people are a little more casual than that. Just use your judgment... don't show up in ripped, tattered clothes, and you should be fine! Enjoy... the food was pretty good!

Personally after being in the theme park in July, I can't imagine wanting to wear those same clothes out to dinner at a nice restaurant. I don't think they need to be fancy, but I am sure after a day in 100 degree heat they are going to be hot and sweaty. I would definitely want to shower, or at the very least, freshen up and change clothes.

We ate there a couple of years ago on a whim. We just went up and ask if there were any chance of getting in and we were seating on the spot. We had just come from the park and were in park attire. We did not have on any tacky shorts or tops though. We saw a mixture of fine dress to others dressed like us and no one batted an eye at us..smjj
