dress dilemma! please help!!!

I went dress shopping yesterday for the first time! I had much success because I found 2 perfect dresses with one major difference: one is white and one is ivory. My fiancé will be wearing a white tux so I'm afraid ivory won't match him!
The ivory one is off the clearance rack at a local store (was clearanced because it was discontinued)
The white one is from David's Bridal and is at the top of my price range (double the ivory one!)

My main question is will the ivory dress clash/not match with my fiancé's white tux??

Please share your opinons because I got no sleep last night and I am sick today because of that!

If it's just "will my ivory dress match his white shirt" I usually vote not to worry about it. But if he's wearing a completely white tux, it seems like the difference really might be noticeable.

Now maybe I'm jaded cuz I tried on more than 60 dresses in my pursuit of "the one," but I would suggest looking around a little more for a white dress at a lower price if you've only been out once. Yes, I totally get that some girls find "the one" right out of the gate. But if matching is keeping you up at night and the one that matches is too uncomfortably pricey, you might want to check out some of the thousands of other bridal gown out there. If nothing else, it may make you feel more comfortable about selecting one of the first two by showing you just how perfect they are.

I agree with lurkyloo, if his tux itself is white, you might want to go with a white dress.

And there are so many dresses out there, I think it is worth looking around some more too. It took me trying on a bunch of other dresses to realize I was in love with mine.

I'm agreeing with everyone. If it was a white shirt it wouldn't be such a big deal, but a white tux? I think you should keep looking around, you'll find the perfect white dress.

Is your fiance's tux already set? Can it possibly be changed to a different selection to match your dress?

** If this is "the dress" of course. But I do agree with the others. If it is just the price, which while important, that is the only factor then keep looking. There are other great dresses at great prices. But if you are in love with the dress then maybe see about modifying the tux?

If he is wearing a white tux you should really go with a white dress, otherwise the contrast between his white tux and your ivory dress will make your dress look dirty. If you really love the ivory dress then maybe have him change his tux color or do a e-bay and google search to see if you can find your dress used (or for sale new elsewhere) in white.

I was losing sleep but I ending up getting the ivory one! I've always known I would get the first one I tried on! That's just who I am! Love at first site!
My fiancé will be in an ivory tux now. It looks amazing next to his groomsmen's brown tuxedos!!!
Everything is working out despite my minor freakout!
