Dress Diaster

So I picked my dress in March, 1st one I tried on (came back to it after trying a million others); got the call yayy it's in. Grab my sister/moh & Mom to go get the dress. Drive the 50 min to the store today. Go in wait for another 20, finally the dress is brought out in a garmet bag & oops you guessed it, THE WRONG DRESS! My dress was supposed to be the CT3052 at Davids Bridal ivory white with the colored flowers. What I got was the Ivory w/ivory flowers. No Big deal I have a lil less than a year; order another one right? NOPE DISCONTINUED! So I proceed to throw a fit in the store, Hail Bridezilla is unleashed! Since I am 6ft tall I cannot get any dress off the rack I have to find one with extra length. So I try on another million dresses and found another one CV008 multicolored with flowers in Ivory. I am quite happy with the 2nd choice, after a lil sadness. Off to wait another 12 weeks & hope that the dress comes in correct!

I'm so sorry Did they take anything off of your other dress since they made a huge mistake??

Yes actually they did. My original dress was $599.00 + tax on sale, the new dress I picked out was $1200.00 (of course!!!), on sale for $1000.00 & because of the mix up they took off $200.00, plus I had to add $50.00 for the Extra length. So I had to pay a lil over $250 + tax. on top of the $599.00. I do however love the 2nd dress after the initial shock.

I am so sorry that happened. The first one was beautiful..BUT the new one is WOW!!! Really nice detail it really looks like a princess dress...you are going to look great!

Oh - you ordered my dress. My David's Bridal had the dress to me in two weeks, so your dress may not take that long.

So sorry this happened. I know it can be exciting to get your wedding dress. (Mine wasn't even a "wedding dress", it came off the rack at a Younkers, but I loved it when I saw it)

I drove 40 miles to meet my friend when hers came in. Then we drove another 40 miles so she could get to the store to try it on the day after hers came in. She had dreamt it came in the wrong color and just HAD to see it.

Also happy that they did offer some $$ off as a consolation.
