Can anyone advise the appropriate dress for an evening dinner at the Yachtsman Steak House? Thanks.....

What ever you feel like wearing that evening would be fine. Only attire that might not be appropriate would be a bathing suit --I understand tank-tops are not welcome either.
You'll see all sorts of dress there--from what we always wear (theme park casual--nice walking shorts, tennis shoes, and a Disney t-Shirt), all the way thru jackets for a few men and a dress for the ladies.
So wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and don't worry--you won't be dressed "inapropriately" and no one is even going to notice--or care.

Dress there like you at California Grill and other fine restaurants at WDW. Just use common sense. There is no need for a suit and tie but dress casual is fine. This type of question came up for the California Grill not long ago. Just use common sense, these places are not "family style" where tank tops and out of control kids are welcome. People go to these places to dine out. I am going to WDW in October, I have reservations at the Steak House, California Grill and Artist Point. Fine dinning is the most important part of the WDW experience for me.

When you make a PS for the YSH, they will tell you if there is ANY type of dress code. I think the good Uncle said it best.

So wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and don't worry--you won't be dressed "inapropriately" and no one is even going to notice--or care.
