I have booked us for dinner at Narcoossee's. Is the dress code there very strict? If I wear capri's and a nice top would that be ok? Could my 5 year old son and husband wear shorts and a decent shirt?

Thanks!:flower3:

That should be fine. DH wore khaki shorts and a polo shirt. I wore a sun dress, but I definitely saw people in capris and the like.

That's fine. They only ask that people don't wear beach/pool attire and torn clothing.

Enjoy your meal!

I wear a pair of shorts and top, and usually I'm on my way to a park after dinner, so I've got my park shoes on.

As long as you're not in ratty looking clothes you won't have a problem.

Park attire is fine. Just no swimwear or coverups......

We loved Narcoossee's, too!!! People were dressed very casual, but nice. I'm just curious....would Disney ask someone to leave if they weren't dressed appropriately?? Beach attire, tank tops, cut off shorts, etc....just wondering.

We went back to the resort and changed into nice pants (slacks and such) and a nice shirt. We saw people less dressed up then ourselves so it seems most anything goes, as long as people aren't wearing short shorts, tank tops, or ripped up pants. I think a nicer casual would do it. Narcoosees is a VERY nice restaurant IMHO so looking good goes with the atmosphere.

Enjoy it, I loved the food, wait staff, and of course, Wishes!

Last August my mom & I were waiting for our table at Narcossees and a big family came in for their ADR and were told that there was a dress code & they would need to change or have dinner elsewhere. The mother FLIPPED out- screaming & yelling & swearing at the poor hostess. Finally, the manager came out & the rest of the family was like "mom lets go!" and immediately went outside but the woman just stayed there screaming at them. But they all looked really raggedy! The teenage girls had on visible bikini tops under belly baring tight white tanks and ripped up short shorts. the mother and father had HUGE character tshirts with ripped jeans on and I don't remember the little boy very well but it was the same idea I'm sure.

I usually wear a sundress to Narcossees but nice capris and a cute top would definitely be fine & of course nice shorts and polo shirt or nice (but not super nice) shirt would be fine for the boys (and for girls as well)
You do see some people SUPER dressed up and other people just look neat, and clean- it is Disney after all they know people are coming & going from the parks!

:lmao: Are you serious?! What are people thinking? Good for Narcoossee's...glad to hear they were not allowed to dine when dressed inappropriately! WOW!

Nowhere was it strict at all, including Narcoosees. I saw people in shorts and not dressed up. To me Narcoosees isn't very fancy to begin with compared to other places.

Gee, I've never seen anyone turned away for dress code except at V&A. We've seen it all, so I'm rather surprised that family was turned away.

Perhaps it was all the torn clothing. Modesty isn't really an issue at all in my experience! One night prior to MNNSHP, we were dining at Citrico's. In came a family with the mom and three little girls all dressed as she devils and ready for dinner prior to MNNSHP. The mom's outfit would have made a bikini look modest. But, she most definitely had the body for what she was wearing!

The family was shown to a table and enjoyed their meal, with most everybody else in the room gawking!

The only time I saw someone turned away because of the dress code was at beaches & cream...some guy came in with no shirt on.
