Hi all,
Mainly I need to know if there is one at the Poly. It seems to be a more "upscale" resort than others except the GF. I just don't want to look like riffraff when I can do better (I work in the medical field, I can look like a million bucks if I want to or I can look like a high school bum if I wanted)
Thanks for the help

I don't think there is a "dress code"...

I once heard there was a "dress code" at the parks (both DL/CA and WDW) that you weren't supposed to wear "inappropriate attire" - no swear words on T shirts, no skimpy shorts or bikini tops or women, etc. and if you did wear "inappropriate attire" you'd be denied admittance.

As far as resorts go, I would think that it wouldn't matter whether you dressed like you were attending a fancy country club at the All Stars or in old but clean shorts and T's at the Grand Floridian - I don't think the CM's would treat you differently.

The only place on property that has the kind of dress code you're talking about is Victoria and Albert's Restaurant at the Grand Floridian. You're at a theme park destination! They're not gonna make you wear a suit and tie to go to the Magic Kingdom! :)

In fact, my last trip, we ate at Jiko's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were all in semi-casual attire. (My fiancée wore a dress, I wore khakis, and a button-down, with a sweatshirt over it cause it was really cold!) I thought we were underdressed. About 10 minutes into our meal, a family of about 8 people sat next to us, and they were wearing jeans, t-shirt, and none of the guys took their hats of during dinner. Just a small example that you can pretty much wear what you're comfortable in as long as it isn't offensive!

No dress code at any resort. Some of the restaurants have a dress code ranging from jackets for men (V&A's) to no tank tops/cut off's (Citrico's, CG) to busines casual (Shula's) but otherwise pretty much anything goes.

Snacky--you were dressed fine for Jiko! Definitely not under or over dressed.

There is no dress code at the Polynesian, unless you would like to wear an aloha shirt!!
We have eaten at Ohana's for dinner, in shorts and shirts.
I think because it is a vacation resort, Disney expects that most of us wil be in vacation attire.

I would say, no matter where you are, be comfortable.

Have a great time!!!

I found the Poly to be a VERY relaxed, casual kind of resort. The only WDW resort that I find a tad stuffy is the Grand Floridian-and that is just because of the decor of the Hotel.
