Title sort of says it really.

Started getting our stuff together for our trip next Tuesday (Wahoooo! :yay: )
However I'm hoping to go for a nice slap up meal in one of the top end restaurants, but have never been in there before (California Grill for example).

Now I'm planning on making it a bit of a special night (see my other post), and wondering what kind of dress people usually dine there in. Now I accept its most likely not top hat and tails, but black trousers and nice top/dresses or is it generally the smart casual end of the spectrum?

Thanks!

There are all sorts there really, from park wear to smart (suit/dresses). Usually when we dine there, I wear a button up shirt and trousers, my wife tends to wear a dress (but blouse and trousers are fine too).

From what I've read smart/casual seems the way to go!

I'd say you'd get away with park wear in any restaurant, although "smart casual" (i.e. jeans without holes, long sleeve top etc) seems to be the best option for me. I wouldn't personally wear shorts / sleeveless tops, but most other things should be fine.

I think as long as you dont turn up in a bikini or swimming trunks your be fine :)
