Is there a dress code for the Brown Derby? I know this was mentioned before, but I'm getting conflicting answers... So anyone dine there recently? Is there a dress code? Or can we waltz in with our park clothes on? Thanks! :thumbsup2

When I went last summer I had a golf shirt on, shorts and sandles, and I did not feel out of place. Everyone was dressed like they had been in the park all day.

I plan on wearing whatever I'm wearing to the park- we have ADR's for the Fantasmic package and plan on spending most of the day at MGM and riding rides (if we have time) between dinner and Fantasmic anyway.

The way I look at it is that I don't really worry about what I'm wearing unless I'm going to a really nice restaurant OUTSIDE of the parks. If I'm inside an amusement park, I don't see how they can really expect everyone to walk in with non-park clothes on :confused3

Of course, I'm not one of those that wears too-tight-midriff-baring tanktops and daisy dukes anyway. I tend to go through the parks in a polo or nice tshirt and khaki shorts which I think would be appropriate for dinner in a park.

I say, don't worry about it and enjoy! :thumbsup2

Come as you are and I PROMISE no one will bar the door.

But I will admit feeling a little funny at Bistro de Paris once, even though we were all neatly dressed. Something about the atmosphere made me feel like I should have on a jacket instead of nice shorts.

It's all good.

Thanks everybody! We have ADR's there for our 8th anniversary, and we're planning on wearing khaki shorts and polo type shirts.... :thumbsup2

I can't wait! I've never eaten at a signature resteraunt...

We're also trying Le Cellier on another day. :teeth: My mouth will be quite happy! :lmao:

I think it would be a little silly to be at the park all day and have to leave to change and then return. We'll be wearing whatever we wear to the park that day.

No one will bar you from the restaurant if you refuse to comply with the dress code. However, courtesy dictates that guests comply with such reasonable requests from their hosts. Luckily, many guests already walk around the park dressed in accordance with Disney's business casual dress code, i.e., a rolled-collar shirt or blouse, nice "dress" shorts, nice walking shoes or pretty sandals.

We ate at Brown Derby for lunch on Thanksgiving day 2005. We wore khaki's and jeans, my friends kids had dresses on. Everyone on the restaurant was dressed in whatever they wore to the park. I was never uncomfortable with what I was wearing. Enjoy your meal.
