We're at 26 days and counting till our first trip to DL!! DH and I are eating at Napa Rose and S'house 55 (we love to eat!) and are wondering if either place has a "business casual" dress code. Will DH feel comfortable in khakis/polo or shorts/polo at both places?

I plan on wearing girly clothes. It's not often I get a chance to dress up. :-)

Those restaurants are supposed to be more formal like a nice dress and the guy wearing dockers but you do see people dressed like they just came from the park. You can be a tourist or have a nice romatic dinner at those restaurants. I think you would do fine to dress it up a bit if that is what you want but if you do park attire you will not be bounced, lol.

Great pair of restaurants.

We dressed for dinner a couple of nights and had people stop us in DTD and ask what the occasion was! We like to wear dressier stuff to dinner at places like Jazz Kitchen, Napa Rose or Catal but a lot of people like that these good restaurants are at DL and they can wear whatever they want with no issue. I like the fact we can take the kids in these higher-end places with no issue. There are not many places you can do that...

I'm still trying to figure out what to wear at SH55. We may have to be at the park all day before going at 6pm. With parking the way it is, I'm worried we won't find a place to park if we leave and come back. So I would need comfy shoes and clothes not too hot to wear. I might be able to find a summer dress that would work for both, but then I couldn't wear my tennis shoes. :confused3

You could always get a small locker for your tennies. Just a thought.

Oh, that's a good idea. We never use lockers so I didn't think about it. But maybe that is the way to go. We could put our "dress clothes" in it.

Yep! I don't blame you for not wanting to move the car. The whole parking situation is a mess right now.

I agree with the locker idea and you get a pin number so you can come and go all day. Leave you name and contact information in the locker in case you forget to return to the locker. They do clean out locker the next day. It starts at $7 and $10. The restrooms are right next door and have huge mirrors for makeup touch ups.

The other option is to carry with you all day a gym bag, lol. I have an ECV so that is not problem.

oh....you could wear your tennis shoes with your summer dress...if women wear miniskirts with Ugg boots, you can wear a kicky dress with cute comfy tennies. My opinion at least. (but you'd still need to bring shoes to feel comfy at your meal, probably)

Now I just need to find the "kicky dress"! :rotfl: I haven't been able to find any cute dresses, kicky or otherwise. :)

I know and I love "kicky dresses"--sigh. I'm not feeling the maxidress thing.
