I Was Just Wondering What The Dress Code Is For Dining Out In The Evening, Dont Want To Feel Overdressed Or Underdressed. Do Not Want To Overpack And Take Clothing We Will Not Wear

seen people in shorts and a T shirt,As long as you have got clothes on and something on your feet you will get food.unless its V+A full dress code there,we usaly go back have a swim and shower and dress smat for evening.Just something we do

Thanks For The Advice, Probably Dress Smart For The Evenings, But If I Know We Will Not Be Going Back To The Hotel To Change, I Will Make Sure I Am Casual But Smart

you get a lot of people stopping for dinner on the way home from there days out, so ive never seen everyone dressed up, its normally a good mix of everything!

You'll see a mixture of everything. As Paul says, apart from V&As, you won't be turned away. "Signature" restaurants such as California Grill, Jiko, Flying Fish Cafe, Artist Point, Narcoossee's, Citricos stipulate business casual which means collared shirts (polo shirts are fine) and smart shorts or chinos for men. As usual, things are more vague when it comes to what that means for women. Park attire is acceptable at any park restaurant, but it's largely a matter of personal choice. If you're happier in casual attire, you won't feel out of place, but if you wouldn't feel comfortable eating out for dinner in t-shirts and trainers at home, it's a safe bet you'll feel the same at WDW. Like Paul, we prefer to shower and dress up a bit for dinner, no matter where it is.

I Have Been Considering Doing Some Of My Ts During The Afternoon And Cs At Night, So As Not To Feel Uncomfortable Being To Casual In The Evening, Will It Be Hard To Get A Walk Up Table Doing This.

I always wear tshirt and shorts, and have never had a problem getting in somewhere, just go with what you feel comfortable in.

When are you going and what particular restaurants are you interested in?

hi, we have an ADR at Artist point & California grill. When we go out here we, (me & DH) usually just wear jeans and a nice top, shirt for DH. Would that be ok at these restaurants?

:tinker:

california grill is a bit more dresssy, when we ate there most people were smart, shirts, chinos , trousers, dresses or skirts, i dont think i saw anyone in shorts.

As soon as we arrive I put shorts on in the knowledge that I won't be wearing trousers again until the final day on the way to, or at, the airport. I have worn smart shorts with smart casual shirt at California Grill and didn't feel out of place. I won't be visiting V&A as a result (even if I could afford it ;) ).

Artist point & California grill are both signuture so have the smart casual dress code. when we ate at Yachtsman steakhouse I wore a dress though I was probably the most dressed up in the restuarant, I like to get a bit dressed up on holiday as I never get the chance at home, I probably looked overdressed at alot of places.

At Yachtsman Steakhouse people wore smart trousers or shorts with a smart top so I think you will be fine with some smart jeans and a smart top.

We ate at a few signature restaurants last time and I wore a summer dress while bf wore Dickies shorts (tailored/smartish looking) with a polo or short sleeved shirt. I don't think we saw anyone in T-shirts or 'parkwear' I think unless you're wearing a tux or ball gown (except for in V&As perhaps!) you won't feel over-dressed :)

We Are Going Last Week Of Aug And First Week Of September, The Kids Want To Go To Scfi, Whispering Canyon, And Prime Time, Hard Rock, My Ds 14 Is A Fussy Eater And After Looking On Allears At The Menus Finding It Very Difficult To Find A Menu That Will Appeal To All Us. The Lunch Time Menus Seem To Suit Us More, Thats Why I Was Wondering If A Walk Up Table Will Be Easier To Get At This Time

End of August/September is around the time that the free dining plan starts so if you want to dine at a certain restaurant at a particular day/time then it may be best to make an ADR.
If you are flexible about where and when you eat you may be ok with getting a walk up table.

Buffet style restaurants are always good for fussy eaters :)

At all the restaurants you mention, you'll find people will mainly be wearing park gear.

thanks for all your replies, will probably do the kids choices during the day, but will ring to makes some adrs at some of the restaurants that have been mentioned this weekend.

want to go somewhere special for my birthday on aug 28, maybe something with a bit of disney magic any reccomendations would be really appreciated.

ps; if the shuttle launch goes ahead on this day will be going there.
