I know a few people here have been lucky enough to go to Club 33. I am going for the first time this weekend. Trying to decide what to wear to dinner. Finding lots of tips for lunch but not many for dinner.

We will be touring the parks all day, and then changing specifically for dinner. But I would like to be comfortable enough to be able to tour the parks again after dinner without changing again. If it was up to me I'd be in dark jeans, a blouse and a nice sweater. But I am thinking that is not appropriate for dinner (not sure if jeans are even allowed at dinner)? Any thoughts from anyone who has been there specifically for dinner are much appreciated.

There is an actual website. I went for a late dinner one time and we were all dressed nice but the table next to us the guy was in a hawaiin shirt. For breakfast's it was all normal attire. The latest news I heard was this: Dress Code

For lunch, Guests may come in fashionable casual attire in order to enjoy the Disneyland Resort in comfort. However, no tank tops, cutoffs, swimsuits, bare midriffs, sweatpants, flip flops/sandals or beachwear may be worn. Walking length shorts are acceptable. Jeans are acceptable, provided that they cover undergarments completely and are not extremely faded or torn.

If Guests have been enjoying the day in Disneyland Park, evening casual attire is acceptable for dinner. For gentlemen, collared shirts and slacks are appropriate, and for ladies an informal dress or pants with a blouse are appropriate.

(Update: The club is no longer accepting shorts of any type or style for dinner.)

Appropriate dress for children and young adults should be in keeping with standards set for adults

Remeber you can get a hat, pins, and pens there. They are all worth getting as souveniers.

They get on you if you are wearing sandels, the first thing they checked was our footware. We saw folks in very nice evening attire to a someone in jeans with an open collar shirt.
Louis our server was over the top. A friend sent me the rules so I will look. Have fun,

They're pretty lax on dress codes, surprisingly. I went in dark jeans and a nice top, and wore heels. The rest of my party wore the same kind of thing. If you're just going to be there for dinner, not going into the park or anything, I say dress up! Who knows when you're going to get to do it again, so why not be all fancy (unless you hate fancy clothes, haha). I personally wish I had dressed a little nicer (although I didn't feel out of place at all), but we were in the parks before and after, so it wouldn't have been all that feasible.

The other people in there were pretty much dressed the same, maybe a few wore dress shirts with ties for the men, and a dress for the women.

I dress for dinner depending on the season, I guess. If it's summer, dress pants and a nice shirt will do. It's usually hot out during this time and, I'm sorry, there is NO reason to be uncomfortable. Yes, Club 33 is air conditioned but one does not need to uncomfortable walking there either.
During the winter I do wear a coat and a tie. Do others at dinner? Some yes, some no.

I will also wear a "hawaiian" shirt, usually a Tommy Bahama one, if I have an early dinner. Can't tell you why I make the differentiation between early and late, but I do.

I can say that I have never worn jeans and never plan to. I am fortunate to have both a dinner and a lunch coming up, and while packing for this stuff from a foreign country does tax one's sensibilities at times, I will be dressed as appropriately as I think possible.

Do I wish there was more to be done by Club 33 as to adherence to dress code? Yup, but until actual members voice their opinion to the managment I don't think much will change......but I don't have to see bare midriffs and for that I am truly thankful.

ludari, sometimes it truly comes down to knowing someone who knows someone who know someone who MIGHT be amenable to making that reservation. If that happens, NEVER lose that connection! LOL

Your right but I have every confidence that someday I will experience Club 33 just once.

Hmm well the way my family did it is pretty damn expensive and unintentional. What they did is take multiple of the VIP tours then became friends with one of the tour guides. She hangs out with my family or tries to especially when we are going to disneyland. My parents always treat her to everything like nice meals and everything like that. The club 33 thing was just surprise they never tried to use this girl. She's just a great person and fun to be with the family. She wanted to suprise my family for being so much fun I guess after so long being friends. Then well it's small treat everyonce and awhile. Granted my dad is the same man who got us a hotel discount for doing goofy and mickey impressions. People really respond well to the acting like a kid thing.

Update: We went and had a great time. I don't think we'll be back (it was a special bday gift from my dh, and it was kind of tricky for him to arrange... a friend of a friend... of a friend of a friend type connection). So it was definitely a special once in a lifetime type thing.

I did wear jeans. The dress code they handed us with our tickets said jeans were acceptable for dinner. So I went with nice dark jeans, nice shoes, a cardigan and a blouse, which was pretty consistent for the majority of the patrons. Dh wore a button down shirt and khakis. I actually had nice trousers in a backpack and had been planning to change, but we got there early and saw a group go in in t-shirts, (not nice) jeans, and athletic shoes. So I felt okay with what I was wearing and didn't end up changing into the trousers. I had stomach surgery recently and the jeans are much more comfortable than dress pants on my incision... otherwise I probably would have still opted to go nicer, but comfort won out. Looking at my pics now, I wish I had changed into the nicer pants (special night... wish my outfit was more special).

We had a great time. Dinner was good (I had butternut squash bisque, chateaubriand, cheese plate, creme brulee and an after dinner cocktail). The amuse bouche was actually the best item and was so good I could have just eaten a plate of that and been really happy. Service was fantastic. We had a seat right by the window, overlooking New Orleans Square. We got to go out on the balcony for fireworks, but due to the trees, the view was actually better from our table. We aren't passholders, so we made full use of the complimentary parkhopper tickets, arriving at opening and staying till almost closing. Considering the park tickets were included, dinner was actually really affordable! We explored the club a lot, stretched out our dinner, took a ton of pics, and tried to make the most of the experience. They were out of ornaments (the one souvenir I wanted), but I bought a metal keychain of the logo and by removing the keyring and putting on a silver ornament hook, it looks like a very nice ornament. Overall a wonderful memory with my dh, and my favorite bday gift I've ever gotten.

Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust! Don't give up the dream and it just may happen someday.

Glad you had a wonderful time.

My DH felt the same way as we were fortunate enough to celebrate his birthday at Club 33 last January. We're still amazed we were able to do this once in a lifetime experience.

That's exactly how it is! My husband works with a guy who's wife has a connection who is a member... They're working on getting us reservations for my birthday this year! I am SO excited! Something I thought I'd never get to experience in this lifetime!
