I know the dress code is business style, but would a dress you would normally wear to a VERY FANCY restraunt (aka evening gown) to much? I have a dress that is sorta like an evening gown. Its green, short (comes to my knees) with some sequins on the very top part around the chest area, but the rest of it is plain. If need be, I will post a picture so you can see what it looks like. Its a very nice dress, but not over doing it, KWIM?

evening gown is probably too much there. I was there two weeks ago, I wore dress shorts and a polo shirt. That seemed to be the norm

My thought is you should wear whatever you want to (except of course swimwear or offensive t-shirts). When we went we saw some in shorts and t-shirts others in dress pants and dress shirts also some cocktail dresses. If you want to make it a special night and wear your green dress then do it!!

That was the word I was looking for..:lmao:

Its actually more of a cocktail dress then an evening gown.

Most likely you will be one of the few women patrons in a dress--as rgf suggests, the norm is much more casual. That said, I also agree with daisy--if you really want to wear that dress, by all means do so!

DW says that a skirt or summer dress is the way to go, but if you want to go with the cocktail dress it isn't really too over the top. You should definitely make the night what you want it to be - especially if you are celebrating something! It is more important to not be underdressed, and we don't think you will be too overdressed. I say go for it and enjoy your night!

We like to dress up for really nice meals and I wouldn't hesitate to wear it there for a special night out. I wish more people put more effort into their appearance, personally.

Enjoy your evening!

When I went to Jiko, I just wore nice black dress pants and a pretty top.

But honey, wear that cocktail/evening dress!!!! You'll light up the room! (especially since it's dark in there!)

Jiko is SOOOO good! Have fun!
