We want to chose a 2 credit restaurant from the dining plan to dine at on our next trip. Is there a specific dress code at these restaurants? I am thinking I would wear a casual dress or skirt outfit. Do men wear slacks and a polo? what were your experiences when you ate at these restaurants? Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

Sorry I meant to put this post on the restaurant board. If it needs to be moved I appologize!

That's the type of dress that Disney is requesting folks wear to their signature restaurants now. I think you'll be fine.

I've eaten at all three restaurants. They're all great. Great food, great service. Citricos is the best of the three for service, and Jiko is the best for food, but you'll have a great time at any.

Slacks and Polo would be fine for my hubby. But I am NOT a skirt wearer. I have never liked them. Do you think I could get away with nicer khakis and a polo at Jiko?

Thanks for bringing up this question by the way.... :)

I believe they request "Business Casual" when you make an ADR at Jiko... they just don't want people coming in shorts and tank tops. Just wear what you'd wear to a nice, but not "FANCY", restaurant at home.
I've been to Citrico's once (nice atmosphere and good service but I must say we were all (7 adults) disappointed w/ our meals after having had a really stellar experience the night before at Cali Grill)
and to Jiko about 10 times :teeth: . Jiko is amazing!! The food AND the people are wonderful. Enjoy!

I've eaten at Citricos and Jiko and have been at the bar at Narcooseess. Business casual seems to be the standard at these 3 places. Most of the people you see in most of WDW's finer dining establishments will probably be wearing business casual but you'll find the occasional group of people dressed in shorts and t-shirts, take it in stride though, we are at the happiest place on earth. Citricos felt like it had the most upscale look of the three and out of the two I've eaten at the one's food I liked the best. I really did enjoy Jiko as well so you wouldn't go wrong there either.

The dress code is just a request. We have done Jiko straight from the parks and we have changed before hand. Just depends on what we are doing that day.

Khakis and a polo would be just fine at any of the mentioned spots. Should also note that the WDW version of "business casual" also allows for "jeans pants" and "dress" shorts.

When I went to Narcoosee's I wore dark pressed jeans and a nice sweater (it was Feb. and quite chilly at night). My hubby wore dark jeans and a collared shirt. We looked fine and there were people there dressed less "business casual" than we were.

I went to Citricos in a "dressier" pair of shorts, nice top, and "real" sandals--not my park attire. It was June and I wasn't bringing pants with me. I'm 42 and I don't do shorter casual skirts, so the shorts worked fine and I didn't feel out of place at all.
