*Dreamy Spring Double-Dip* March 13, 2012

Wow! It looks like us Iowans will be surrounded by Texans and Canadians! We (DH 42, me 41 and DD will have just turned 10) are really looking foward to the cruise. We sailed on the Dream in June for 4 nights and fell in love with CC so we decided we needed to book the 5 night cruise to get 2 days at CC.

Looks like a great group of people and kids. Since DD is an only child she always looks forward to making friends.

And we would definitely be interested in a meet at some time. I will continue to watch this thread to see what pops up.

You'll have some other Iowans to keep you company. It's me, DH, & DSs ages 7 & 4. After falling in love with WDW & DL, we're taking our first DCL trip. DH & I have done other cruises before, but this will be our first as a family & first DCL. Looking forward to a fun spring break cruise & a few days @ WDW beforehand. Will keep watching the thread to see when a meet might take place.

Fellow Cruisers, I had a terrible dream last night. I dreamt that I had slept through the first four days of our cruise and woke up to find out I had missed everything. It was such a horrible feeling. This wonderful vacation I've been looking forward to for so long had passed me by! To say I was relieved when I woke up and it was all a dream is an understatement!

Well, I started paking. Not pull-out-the-suitcase, but more of a stockpile.
Yep....what do we have another 4 months?
We are getting very excited and cannot wait!!
Once we get through the holidays (not that I am rushing them along) the cruise will be right around the corner!! Aren't you excited?!?!?

So the hubby and I started scoping out the excursions for the cruise! Still undecided as to what we are going to do. We are trying to stay away from Atlantis because we would eventually like to do a full trip there in the future.

What is everyone here planning on doing?

I've got to start printing out our door magnets. Can't go without our ears on our door numbers!

I can't wait till the trip!! Really excited and it is amazing how quickly time seems to be flying.

Time only seems to fly when I stop looking at my countdown calendar for a few days Like AKMOUSE said, once the holidays are over it will seem that much closer, but I definitely don't want to speed them along since it's part of the year I look forward to the most.

Our plan is Atlantis Aquaventure for Nassau, and parasailing for Castaway Cay. Atlantis looks so awesome! We'll be going again in May, and my plan is to do the sealion encounter on Nassau, and the kayak/walking tour on Castay Cay.

Must also start on our door magnets. Have been making a list for FE gifts, but haven't bought anything yet.

Well from your name I can already tell we will like you! We are Hawkeye fans we have two more families joining us but one family has cyclone fans and the other has an illini fan what do you do? Hoping to get a couple more families if any more reservations open for kids..... Where will you be staying for the first part of your trip? Me, DH and DD will be staying at wl for a few nights. We can't wait for spring break!

Looking forward to meeting everyone if a meet gets set up!

We got our airline tickets a couple weeks ago after watching every single day the prices stay the same for 3 weeks & then boom they went up $100. We are arriving on the 11th & staying at the Pop Century. Going to see Harry Potter!!! Our plane tickets were $100 cheaper picking Monday to return home instead of Sunday. I'm so excited to go. I have had no vacation time left since August so I will be so ready to go!!! Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm forgoing my weight loss journey this day & Christmas day I've lost 44 pounds so far & hope to add at least 15 more before we go. Hope we get to do a meet & greet!

Just wondering about the FE list and if anyone has received anything yet. I thought we were going to get a prelim list in Nov. so just making sure that I'm not the only one that hasn't heard of anything yet.

Someone had also mentioned a facebook page...anyone started that yet as well?

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! Its offical I can now be on the board once a day or more and start my count down to the cruise. Thoses that have sent me a message about joining the FE party I will be sending out a the final list in January so we all have plenty of time get the gift ready. Hi everyone

Wanted to give you all an update since I'm on the board now almost everyday. We have 10 families equaling 15 kids. We still have room for more so please PM me and I will get you added to the list. The final list will be sent out in January and that will be the final one, no names will be added at that time. I will put one last notice out the first week of Janaury before I close it in out and send it. This will allow everyone that has signed up plenty of time to get the gifts ready.

Just last night DH and I were talking about how many suitcase we were going to take. We are headed to a National Dance competition in Denver the weekend before we leave on the Cruise. Yes we are crazy. Friday NM to Denver for the weekend then leave on Sunday for Orlando. Monday we will spent at the magical kingdom. I'm going to need a vacation with how busy that weekend is going to be. Who's headed to the park before the cruise? We are doing a day before and a day after. After the cruise we plan on staying at a Disney property...any suggestions?

Kathy, you are definitely going to be busy! We are heading to AKL for four days after the cruise. Have you stayed on property before? I have not encountered a resort I don't like. Each and every resort has their charms, but AKL is my absolute favorite.
