*Dreamy Spring Double-Dip* March 13, 2012

Hey there everyone! Big group of Atlantic Canadians coming aboard!
There are 7 families coming in my group. Kids are going to be 5,5,8,9,9,10,10,11,11,12,14... Only two boys 9&12.

We are all newbies to cruising. We've been to WDW in smaller groups together over the past few years and once word of the cruise got out, everybody jumped on board!:rotfl2:

Got over the one year mark, should fly by now.;)

SPITFIRERN-Going to Universal does sound awesome. My DH, DS, and I all love Harry Potter and i've been wanting to go there. Especially since the cruise doesn't leave til Tuesday then we are so there. I wanna try the butter beer.

:)We did Universal over Thanksgiving break this year - very very crowded but way cool! We stayed at one of their hotels and got admission an hour early to HP land which was so worth it. Butter beer is better frozen very sweet!

Yes, Ted, we'll have to do some searching. I've read your posts on the transportation board. I think you're the flight guru for Halifax. At least it will give us something to do until next march!

I think you mean Researching! :) That's my specialty ... and I suspect your too! ;)

YAY! Looks like my son will have some company! GOOD! He will be 12 in January

Just got off the 3/13/11 sailing and re-booked on board for the 3/13/12 sailing. You guys will love the ship, She is breathtaking!! Loved all the restaurants except Enchanted Garden(limited menu). However, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the Aqua Duck. Tip.... The best time to ride the Aqua Duck is on CC morning. We rode it 3 times in a row. Can't wait until next Spring Break:banana:

Welcome fellow Texan! My wife and I almost took a RCCL cruise on the Voyager out of Galveston in November last year. We had to cancel because my work sent me to Switzerland (and let my wife attend) in June and we didn't want to leave the kids 2 times in the same year so we cancelled.

I'll let you enjoy my verandah for awhile if you let me check out that virtual porthole. I am a bit disappointed I don't get to experience it.[/QUOTE]

Sounds like a deal, would love to check out the Veranda and we were originally going to book one but the DD wanted to do the virtual porthole.
It really looks like there will be a lot of Texans on the cruise. It will be great and I look forward to checking out all the door decorations and fish extenders. A lot of Canandians also, great times, honest eh? DW is originally from Oklahoma and I"m from Michigan, daughter is 100% Texan. We will probably represent all three states on our door. We are in cabin 9049 deluxe inside, deck 9 of course. What really surprised me was the number of inside cabins, or lack thereof on the ship. And then to have only 19 of them be deluxe, it is no wonder that they sell out so quick. We look forward to a good time and can't believe that we have less than a year to go.:cool1:

Hello everyone - Just returned today from the Wonder MR Cruise, it being our first Disney cruise (12th cruise all together) we had such a great time we booked on board for the DREAM double dip. If the DREAM is anything like the WONDER I'm sure we will all have a great time. Traveling will be DH, Myself and DD (8) her spring break, we are from Alb, NM We are seeing if friends or family want to join so we will see. We traveled this spring break just the three of us and met some great people aboard the ship. FE is a must  and even though its a year out, I would consider organizing it but it is a year out, I'm a planner but a year out wow! I'm still on the high of the WONDER but know this will be equally great. My DH after we booked told me I couldn't start counting down till after Christmas, but I can frequent the boards, which I know I will. I look forward to getting to know you all and its so fun to start planning a year in advance.

Well I am disappointed but we are going to have to cancel. :(

The good news is my wife is pregnant and she is due in December. We don't think for us the baby will be old enough to sail plus our room won't sleep 5 so we need to cancel our reservation. I am bummed I wanted to go on this cruise pretty bad. We'll have to rebook much later probably if we can even afford the latest prices.

If you don't mind me asking, what price did they quote you onboard? I wanted to reshop this onboard but I am thinking I probably already got the cheapest that will be out there.

And Ummgood, congrats on the new baby!!

Hi,
We went the same cruise week in March and it was mainly Texans and people from Canada. We are very much looking forward to this cruise. We did the Wonder in 2010.

We will have a son that will just have turned 5 and a 9 month old son who is due this June.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone!

No Offense if you aren't Texan or Canadian, but I haven't met many of either I didn't like, just good people. Cheers to y'all eh! and another cheers to everybody else!

We'd be down for some FE's if I can find anything cool and small to pack. Two DD's 9,7. Haven't done the FE's before on previous Dis cruise, but was kinda jealous of those that did it.

Sorry you have to miss it but kids are more important.

Hi everyone!
Another Canadian to add to the mix!
It will be myself, DH and DS 11, and DS 8.
I am so excited, we have not cruised in a couple of years and that was on the Magic, I am reading all about the Dream.

10% off the web price plus on board credit. Hope that helps.

I was wondering what the temp is like this time a year. Was it warm enough to get in the ocean? What was the temp like on board, sailing? Never been on a cruise but i'm guessing i'll love it enough to book again for another cruise while on board this one ha ha.

The water was a little cool but far from cold. Many kids and adults were in the ocean. The weather was beautiful (mid 70s). In addition, you may want to bring your own alarm clock. The stateroom clocks were very difficult to operate.

I looked today and the price is nearly 2000 more than what we locked in! Gheesh! No way I'll be able to reshop this onboard and beat the price...but maybe they will manually adjust to give me the OBC :confused3
