Dreamy Spring Break 4/20/14

Hi.. we live in Delaware & are originally from Philly, only about 45 minutes away now. I feel your pain on these winters - this one in particular has my family REALLY looking forward to this cruise! Thanks for the FE information. This is our first Disney cruise, the explanation was a great help!

Welcome! Great to have you join us, neighbor! I am in Philadelphia and I am DONE with this winter! :sad2: If there is no school tomorrow, (and I doubt there will be) my daughter's school will chip away at Easter break. I called the principle yesterday with concern about her missing school and he was not concerned since she is a good student. I promised educational experiences (Kennedy Space Center and Manatee Preserve) and that she would make up the work. (Everything is on iPads so she can bring it with her) Small crisis averted. My son's school will excuse absences. They understand people make plans well ahead of time and can't change them.
I am afraid I will be so out of shape for the Castaway Cay 5k. I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and I haven't run outside since Christmas Eve. I loathe going out in the cold and snow to the gym. I will do it, but if I can do it in under 45 minutes, I'd be shocked!
We can't change the weather, (I know Disney would if they could!) so I just need to get through this and on to 7 days in the sun starting April 17th! :beach:

I hope so!! I renewed mine and forgot my middle name, hitch is on all my tickets. Stupid. And my daughter needs a new one, but kids can't be renewed in the traditional sense. We have an appt in Thursday, hope we get them back ASAP!!

I ordered a fish extender, I am crap at crafts!!! What ideas does everyone have for Easter Baskets??? I was thinking if a big "bag" of Frozen stuff and chocolate, but I have to figure out how to hide it!!!! We are at Hyatt MCO he night before, so I thought the bag would be a good wake up surprise and carryon. I have to hunt the Disney store for some frozen stuff and a frozen reusable bag. Too many things to get done, ahhhh!!!

I ordered one, too. I am so not crafty.
Can you bring an extra bag for your Easter stuff? Or check a box? But the kids may ask what's in the box. :confused3 I'm going to order baskets and have them delivered to the ship. I put mainly candy in the kid's baskets, but I'm not sure what to tell them to put in them this year!
A bucket and sand toys are a good idea. Autograph book maybe?

If anyone is making personalized FE gifts, I changed my DD's favorite character to Elsa. She is Frozen obsessed right now. :cold: (Must be the weather!) No worries if you already made something

Hi everyone. This will be my family's 2nd Disney cruise (Dream in 2012). We are getting more and more excited. Not doing the FE as my DS is 16. He had a blast at 14 in the Vibe on the last trip and is really looking forward to it again.

My wife and I enjoyed the Margarita tasting session and I got to do the Mixology class all by myself. My wife was my "customer" and Prince (the bartender) was awesome at teaching me make a kicked-up Bahama Mama.

Is there an on-board meet scheduled during the cruise? I read through the posts and didn't see one.

Welcome! Thanks for joining us! I may do the Margarita tasting this time. I did the champagne tasting my last cruise and the Margarita tasting was a close second.
There is no on board meet planned. If anyone wants to organize one please feel free.

Have we already been assigned FE families? I'm on the list but wasn't sure how the "you get family 1, they get family 2, " etc goes. Thanks!!!!

You leave gifts at all of the cabins. Right now there is 18 cabins with 65 people. You can leave something small for each person or one large gift for the entire cabin.
If we get to 20 cabins by the deadline we will split the list in half.

Anyone skilled at Excel? I'd like to organize the FE list so the cabins are in numerical order but can't figure out how to do it so all the information goes with the cabin numbers. :confused3

I got DH to organize the list. But he may have moved some things to the wrong spot. Please double check that your information is correct. Thank you!

Tomorrow is the last day for the FE sign up. :hourglass: We are six weeks out and need the time to get our gifts together so that will be that.
Also, please check the list. :magnify: A large group has dropped out and you'll need to adjust your count.

So there are 56 on the list. I can handle that and thanks for the heads up. Do we have a Facebook page? If so do they all know about the FE? Thanks, so excited!!!

Keep your eyes peeled for your cruise documents. Many have received them this week! Getting so close!! :cool1:

Sooooo:

Who has early seating?
What other crazy Moms want to share the line holding duties for Anna or Princesses?
Who's kids are doing costumes for either princesses or pirates? We just do t shirts, boring old people.
Anyone going to Port Orleans after the cruise?

Can you tell I'm excited? Now I just have to finish a phd before I leave. Nobody laugh, my life is so sad, ha ha!!

We have late seating and I'm hoping for a late meet and greet with Anna for DD. I'm sure I remember ones at about 10pm for some princesses and banking on that so the line won't be long. :p
I had a pirate-ish outfit last time, but we are traveling light this trip. I'll still bring my pirate fascinator, though. pirate:
Good luck to you! You'll need this trip after all that work!
